    1. Part 1

    After checking the Unit 1 Topic 2: Modal Verbs, write 1 sentences using each one of the
    following modal verbs regarding your daily life: can – could – may - must - should - ought
    to – have to – need to- had better - would.

    1. I can study English every day.


    2. I could exercise three times a week.
    3. I may go to the dentist again next week.
    4. I must go to work every day of the week.
    5. I should rest more because I feel tired.
    6. I ought to stay in bed every Sunday but I have to work.
    7. I have to prepare lunch every day for my husband.
    8. I need to keep my car clean and neat at all times.
    9. I'd better be ready for the English test.
    10. I would like to travel more often.

    2. Part 2: According to the topic Past Progressive (Unit 1: Topic 3), each student must
    write 10 things you were doing yesterday:

    1. I was working yesterday.


    2. I was watching a movie yesterday at night.
    3. I was studying English yesterday.
    4. I was reading a book yesterday.
    5. I was having lunch yesterday with some friends.
    6. I was sleeping yesterday night.
    7. I was praying yesterday in the church.
    8. I was talking on the phone yesterday with my mom.
    9. I was eating an ice cream with my husband.
    10. I was buying a gift yesterday for my sister who was on birthday.

    3. Parte 3. Write a text about the activities you were doing last Sunday; you can use time.

    Use at least two pictures related to your day. You should write three paragraphs:

     Paragraph 1: In the morning


     Paragraph 2: In the afternoon
     Paragraph 3: At night
    My activities last Sunday

    In the morning: I was taking my breakfast at home at eight o'clock. I had to leave at nine
    to visit my mother, she lives in another neighborhood. I was playing with my niece while
    my sister and my mom were preparing lunch. I was talking to my mom about the
    university.

    In the afternoon: I was having lunch at 12:30 pm while my niece was sleeping in her car. I
    had to take my niece to the park while my sister rested a little. She and I ate an ice cream.
    Then I was watching a fiction movie with my family. I had to return at five in the afternoon
    to my house.

    At night: I was doing the food while my husband watched television. He could not go to
    my mom's house because he was working. I watched television until eleven o'clock at
    night. I should have slept early because I had to get up early the next day.

    4. Parte 4: Students must comment about the partners´ contributions and make corrections
    if necessary.

    Regarding the text about the activities that you did last Sunday, I see that I use different
    modal verbs, the progressive past and the when and while, which is what the activity guide
    requests.
    I believe that the phrases must be more complete and specific when using the when and
    while.

    It is evident that for the development of the activity two correctly used the progressive past
    in the description of the activities that made the previous day.

    It is evident that he uses well the modal verbs of obligation and advice in the description of
    sentences.

    In the development of point two of the activity it is evident that you correctly used the
    progressive past in the sentences according to the activities you did the previous day. 
    You used the subject + past form of the verb with "ing".
