    To articulate your perceptions about research papers, documented essays,

    and academic writing in general, try the following exercises:


    1. Write one or two paragraphs, in any style you prefer, speculating about
    what it would be like to go out on a date with someone who talks like an
    academic paper. Describe both the experience and the person: What would
    he or she talk about? How would he or she talk? What place or places would
    you go to or visit? What would you eat during that date? End by speculating
    about whether or not this would be an enjoyable experience.
    2. Then, consider what you believe to be the characteristics of an academic
    paper in light of the experience you just narrated.

    Answer:
    Well, as for me it would be like awkwardly getting to know each other, because if
    you are going on a date with someone who talks like an academic paper, they
    usually ask formally and he/she are professional in any circumstances which is a bit
    of shocking to know the unexpected and expected. I sometimes did not expect that
    he/she is an amazing in letting out of a formal conversation to you or just an simple
    conversation. It is like he/she is on an interview to you asking your life information,
    experiences, and there’s little bit of impact in bond each other. It is better that you
    are dating with a person who talks academic paper, because it improves more the
    intellectual skills and communication. I think the experience of this person is
    already consumed and eligible in some things and the person who is dating to him
    is already wanting to know about more. I think he/she talks about the life
    experiences, stories about his/her life and much more.
    If we are given the chance to date, I want that place to be more comfortable and
    where we can talk in a pleasant way. The place will be probably in a quiet place like
    a coffee shop. We can talk over a lot of topics over a cup of coffee and a piece of
    cake. I think a lot of places in this world I want to travel or visit like Vatican City.
    During a date I would surely eat a lot of domestic foods like crabs and sea shells in
    different places in the restaurant and etc. It could be so much enjoyable to date a
    person like an academic paper because we can learn a lot of things from each
    other. Aside from that, it is a pleasure for me to meet and date someone who is
    academic paper, that would enhance more of my insights in life and could set aside
    the ignorance I had in mind.
