General Information
In case of persisting adverse effects consult a physician.

Specific Measures
Inhalation : Remove to fresh air. Get medical attention for any breathing difficulty.
Ingestion : Rinse mouth with water and drink plenty of water. Never give anything
by mouth (oral) to an unconscious person. Seek for medical attention.
Skin Contact : Wash with water for at least 15 minutes. Contact a physician if
necessary.
Eye Contact : Flush eyes with plenty of water for 15 minutes, lifting lower and upper
eyelids occasionally. Contact an ophthalmologist.

Chronic Effects
Studies for lithium carbonate refer to that product that it is used for pharmaceutical purposes. Then,
high doses, close to toxic values, are frequently used. In these studies some effects in newborns are

expected. However, health hazards for workers are not expected at exposures over 10 mg/m
(NIOSH, Health Hazard Evaluation Report HHE80-036-922).
