This motorcycle is not legal for use on public streets or highways in the United States. This motorcycle is sold as a
racing motorcycle only. It can never be registered for legal use on public streets.
This is an extremely high performance racing motorcycle, and its use on public streets would be both illegal and dan-
gerous. It is not provided with the equipment necessary for safe and legal street use and does not meet U.S. safety,
noise, or emissions standards for street motorcycles.
By accepting possession of this motorcycle the buyer represents that he is expert in the art of race motorcycle prepa-
ration and will permit only experienced, trained professional races to operate this motorcycle in only those locations
where it is legal to do so.
The material in this manual is pertinent to motorcycles similar to the RS 250 Challenge Series, bu not identical.
Therefore, some of the material in this manual will not be applicable to your motorcycle.
There may be operations necessary for the safe and efficient operation of this motorcycle which are not included in
this manual. The manual is presented for guidance only.
If you have any uncertainty whatsoever about any maintenance operation, contact your aprilia Official Dealer.
This manual is intended for use only by persons expert in the arts of motorcycle racing and racing motorcycle mainte-
nance, and therefore does not contain all steps necessary to complete each maintenance operation. It also does not
contain those warnings normally contained in manuals intended for use by the general consumer.
Wide differences in competition use make it impossible for aprilia s.p.a. to set out a maintenance operation schedule.
The owner of this racing motorcycle is responsible for determining when maintenance operations are required.
