The key takeaways from the speech are gratitude, perseverance, faith in God, and striving for a brighter future through quality education.

The theme of the graduation speech is 'Sulong Edukalidad: Pagtataguyod sa Kinabukasan ng Bayan' which stresses the importance of quality education for a brighter tomorrow.

The speaker thanks their teachers, administrators, friends, parents and fellow graduates for their support and role in helping them succeed.

To our ever dynamic, honorable, man of the hour DepEd

representative, Dr. Roie M. Ubayubay, Public Schools District

Supervisor in Opol, to our respectable School Head, Ms. Niele
B. Bahian, our GPTA President, Mr. Blademer C. Reyes,
teachers, spectators, friends, ladies and gentlemen, my fellow
graduates, a beautiful and pleasant day to all of you.
Delivering this kind of speech is such an honor and a
privilege, more so that I am going to do this as the entire nation
is battling against COVID 19 pandemic. Though it felt a little bit
sad that our graduation ceremony will be done in this manner
but I realized that this is the best time to be more grateful of
God’s greatest gift called “LIFE”.
Today is the day that we have all been waiting for. After
hurdling all the tasks and challenges in our six-year stay in the
elementary, in making fond memories with our classmates and
friends, and in competing with ourselves to the demands of
school life just to achieve academic excellence every end of the
school year, we have come to the last episode of the first
chapter of our lives, our graduation day. We have been
rewarded of all our efforts and achievements but it must not
only end there, we must not only be content with that alone.
Hence, the priceless lessons, skills and values that we have
learned from our alma mater will be our powerful tools as we
step forward to the first episode of the second chapter of our
lives, the 7th grade.
My beloved fellow graduates, what I want to convey here
is that, at this trying time, the essence of graduation has
brought us into the deepest sense, that we must be more
reflective and sensible with our actions. As we look back, we
must not forget the times when we become the better version
of ourselves. The times when we become a person for others or
the moment when we made a difference to touch other
persons’ lives like helping a friend or sharing what we have to
our classmates and the time when we exercised our roles and
responsibilities to become more deserving of the so called
“futures of tomorrow”. We are now in a war fighting with our
enemies that are not even visible with our naked eye and in this
battle; prayers are our greatest weapon and our characters are
what matters the most.
Our theme: “Sulong Edukalidad: Pagtataguyod sa
Kinabukasan ng Bayan” further stresses the importance of
quality education. We need to strive hard, continue learning
and discovering things, keep on developing your skills you are
good at, and always be bold enough in reaching your dreams
and aspirations for it depends in you a greater task for a
brighter tomorrow.
On behalf of the graduating class of 2019-2020, allow me
to give back all the glory and honor to all these following
people who have been the reasons behind our victory. I might
not be able to mention all of you by name, but know that I am a
million fold times grateful to everyone who has put me on this
stage today.
To my grade 6 teachers, I am extremely thankful for giving
your best to us. Thank you for exuding patience and love in
teaching us especially lessons that were so tough and in
inculcating us values that we will be applying in our daily lives.
We are deeply sorry for the times that we got so rowdy in class
but at the end of the day you still have our love and respect.
To all my teachers in my lower years, thank you so much
for your guidance, in helping me grow and in instilling in me the
love of learning.
To our school administrator, Ms. Niele B. Bahian, thank
you Ma’am for giving what is the best for the pupils of Barra
Elementary School. Thank you for believing in my abilities that I
could also once bring the name of our school on high.
Thank you also to my friends, Athena and Zasha, to my
classmates from Grade 6 Perseverance, for sticking with me.
Thank you for believing in me when I lost confidence in myself.
Thank you for having your back all the time. You guys made me
feel that I have a big wonderful family.
Great thanks also to my parents for all your efforts and
sacrifices just to send us to school. We may have failed in life a
thousand times but we never stop striving to rise up again. To
my Papa, though we seldom see each other, I want to thank
you because even though you already have a family of your
own you still manage to spend time with us. To my Mama, who
worked big time just to provide us in everything, thank you. I
always appreciate everything that you do for us. You think of us
first before yourself. There was never a time that I regretted
that you are my parents. I love you so much and you both are
my inspiration.
To my fellow graduates, there may be new adventures,
new friendships, new series of struggles but we must not forget
the things we learned from Barra Elementary School, where we
created history and where we first build our dreams and goals
in life. Let us keep the faith that God will be our ultimate source
of wisdom, grace and strength. We pray earnestly that He will
continue to light our path until we reach the glorious finish line-
just like what He did today.
As we seal this unforgettable chapter of our academic life,
allow me to congratulate you all for obtaining successfully all
the academic works in school. Let us take this as our token to
becoming the person we always wanted to be. Just remember,
our future is what we make it. Never forget to hold your heads
up high but always be reminded to keep your feet on the
ground.
Thank you and may the Lord bless our future academic
life. To God be the glory!
