Semi Detailed Lesson Plan in English 3

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the students will be able to:
a. Identify the personal pronouns in the sentence
b. Complete the given sentences with the correct pronoun
c. Appreciate the importance of pronoun in constructing a sentence

II. Subject Matter


a.1 Topic: Classification of Animals
a.2 Reference: Elementary English Explorer 3
a.3 Materials: visual aids, song

III. Procedure
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Prayers
 The teacher will choose a student to lead the prayer.
2. Greetings
3. Checking of Attendance
 The teacher will check the absent in the class.

B. Review
 Ask the class about the previous lesson.
 What they learn about the previous lesson?
 Ask the student if they really understand the past lesson.

C. Motivation
 The teacher and the students will sing “Its I Who Build Community” then encircle the personal
pronouns.

D. Activities
 The teacher prepared a short yell with the use of personal pronouns. The students will be
grouped into three. Group 1 will present it through short action drama, Group 2 will present it
through pageant and Group 3 will present ir through reporting.

E. Analysis
 Ask the students: Why do we replace pronoun into a noun?

F. Abstraction
 Proceed to the next lesson which is Personal Pronouns.
 Ask the learners about their ideas in Personal Pronouns.
 Discuss the Personal Pronouns.
 Personal pronouns are used in place of a common or proper noun. They are used to refer to
something or someone that you have already talked about.
 There are two types of personal pronouns:
G. Application
 Match the picture with the phrase and make a sentence about it using personal pronouns.

IV. Evaluation
 Conduct a short quiz on Personal Pronouns.

I. Direction: Underline the pronouns in each sentence. (5 points)


1. You should practice recycling things at home.
2. Are we allowed to pick flowers in the park?
3. Do they know the difference between biodegradable and non-biodegradable trash?
4. The Gospel made them realize that their actions were wrong.
5. Let us support the environmental campaigns of our school.

II. Direction: Substitute a pronoun for each underlined word/phrase in the sentence. (5 points)

V. Assignment
 Use the following personal pronoun in a sentence. He, She, It, They and We.
