ECSR Report
Introduction:
From 3rd February to 12th February we have done our CSR activity which is a part of our academic
curriculum of Universal Business School. Our college collaborated with a trust namely Light of life trust
(LOLT), Karjat to accomplish this activity which was a learning experience for us.
Objectives of the Social Project:
The main objective of this project for our college was to educate students about Corporate Social
Responsibility. Our main objectives during this project was
Upholding people’s interests and rights
Working with individuals, groups and communities in the pursuit and achievement of equitable
access to social, economic and political resources
Providing assistance to improve the well-being of clients. (Clients are individuals, families, groups,
communities, organisations and societies, especially those who are neglected, vulnerable,
disadvantaged or have exceptional needs)
Promoting policies and practices that achieve a fair allocation of social resources
Acting to bring about social change to reduce social barriers, inequality and injustice.
To bring out the best out of this activity 120 students of 1 st year MBA program was divided into 4 groups of
30 students each serving different fields of activities. The groups were:
1. Education
2. Health
3. Livelihood
4. Environment
These 4 groups were further divided into teams of unequal number of people. I was a part of the group
livelihood which was the most enthusiastic group. We were assigned several works such as:
Selling the products made by the women of LOLT such as jewelleries, blouses, dresses etc.
Spreading awareness about several courses those are taught in LOLT like jewellery making,
parlour training, tailoring, basic computer, MS-CIT, tally, bike repairing, mobile repairing etc.
Getting admissions for the above mentioned courses.
Getting the students of LOLT ready for the corporate world.
Taking mock interviews of the students.
Going to the industries to aware them about the students and their abilities.
Team members:
Livelihood group was further divided into 5 groups namely:
1. Be your own hero
2. Keep your fire alive
3. Blaze
4. Game changers
5. Helping hands.
I was proudly a part of the team named “Helping Hands”, the smallest team of the whole activity consisting
only 4 members. The members were including me:
Devika Dolas(Team Leader)
Alolika Dutta Roy
Sonu Kumar
Shobhit Patni.
The main agenda of our team was as follows:
Spread awareness
To bring registrations.
We were given a target of registration to achieve in those days which we had outdone. The targets were such
as:
Tailoring : 20
Jewellery making : 20
Uniform making : 10
Beauty parlour : 20
Total : 70
Did one rally in Dhasai along with 2 other teams and even did a role play there to educate the villagers.
Made posters and banners for the rally
After completing our target we did pitch to villagers for MS-CIT, basic computer and tally courses.
Got 6 admissions for these courses also
