STUART L ITTLE
Stuart Little is an animated film directed by Rob Minkoff which was produced by Columbia
Pictures and released in 1999. I was nominated for the Academy Awards 2000 in the Best Effects
category. The film is set in New York City and talks about the adventures of the little mouse called
Stuart Little after he is adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Little to be their second child.
The main characters are Mr. and Mrs. Little, played by Hugh Laurie and Geena Davis, their son
George, played by Jonathan Lipnicki, and, of course, the adorable mouse Stuart, whose voice is
provided by Michael J. Fox.
The story begins when Mr. and Mrs. Little go to an orphanage to adopt a little brother for their son
George. At the orphanage they meet Stuart, a tiny mouse, and are so charmed by him that they decide to adopt him.
George, however, isn’t pleased because he would rather have a real brother. The family cat, Snowbell, along with other
cats in the neighbourhood, has plans to get rid of Stuart forever!
The cast is excellent and Michael J. Fox is perfect as the voice of Stuart Little. With the use of computer animation, Stuart
looks more like a real mouse than a cartoon mouse, convincing viewers that Stuart is a miniature actor. The combination
of computer animation and live action is superb.
Stuart Little is a wonderful film for the whole family. The cute little mouse will have all members of the family laughing in

14) The chocolate is then packaged for distribution to retail outlets.
