ARTICLE I

OBJECTIVES

 To attain one’s functional competency in teaching thru Student Teaching and Research
Work;
 To develop pleasing personality by encouraging and enforcing proper wearing of
uniform, being friendly and speaking in English in the classrooms;
 To develop punctuality in coming to school, passing projects and research works by
organizing efficient students and punishing delinquents;
 To develop leadership skills among all members in relevance to students’ Teaching
Profession; and
 To recognize the social relevance and application of one’s knowledge in curricular and
extra – curricular activities.

ARTICLE II
MEMBERSHIP

SECTION 1
All Education Students shall be members of the organization.

SECTION 2
Every member of the Association shall individually and collectively fulfill his duties and
responsibilities in pursuit of duly approved policies, decisions, projects, and activities of
the Association.

ARTICLE III
OFFICERS of the ORGANIZATION and THEIR DUTIES

SECTION 1
The Officers of the organization shall be as follows:
 The President
 Vice – President
 Secretary
 Sub – Secretary
 Treasurer
 Sub – Treasurer
 Auditors
 Muse
 Adonis
 Representatives from First Year, Second Year, Third Year, and Fourth
Year

SECTION 2
The president shall serve as the over – all coordinator. He / She shall be responsible for
the internal and external affairs of the Organization.

SECTION 3
The Vice – President shall assist the President in the performance of his / her duties. He /
She shall act as the President only in the absence of or incapacity of the presiding
President and shall succeed the latter in case of death, resignation, removal for cause, or
disqualification.

SECTION 4
4.1. The Secretary shall keep all the records and prepare financial statements with the
assistance of the Treasurer of the Organization. He / She shall submit a written
report to the President every meeting.
4.2. The Sub – Secretary shall assist the Secretary in the performance of his / her
duties. He / She shall act as the Secretary only in the absence of or incapacity of
the presiding Secretary and shall succeed the latter in case of death, resignation,
removal for cause, or disqualification.

SECTION 5
5.1. The Treasurer shall be the custodian of the funds and property of the
Organization. He / She shall collect contribution or fees from the members, pay
all the authorized expenses, and submit a financial report and the Annual Meeting
of the Organization.
5.2. The Sub – Treasurer shall assist the Treasurer in the performance of his / her
duties. He / She shall act as the Treasurer only in the absence of or incapacity of
the presiding Treasurer and shall succeed the latter in case of death, resignation,
removal for cause, or disqualification.

SECTION 6
The Auditor shall see to it that all Funds disbursed to by the Association are in order as
certified by the Treasurer.

SECTION 7
The Muse and Adonis shall represent the Education Department in participating
themselves to school programs such as Pageants, etc.

SECTION 8
The Representatives shall assist the President manage all the Association’s Business
Meetings and Activities and to represent their respective year levels.

ARTICLE IV
FUNDS
SECTION 1
Association of the Future Teachers (AFT) is a profit organization.

SECTION 2
A membership fee of Fifty pesos (P50.00) shall be collected from all members annually.

SECTION 3
The Funds will be derived through the voluntary contributions of all members and
advisers and thru the collected penalty fee of Fifty pesos (P50.00) from those Officers
and members not wearing their uniform on specified days while Twenty pesos (P20.00)
for those officers and members not wearing their ID’s.

SECTION 4
The money will be spent for all the activities of the Organization.

SECTION 5
Income generating projects shall be done to finance special activities.

ARTICLE V
MEETINGS

SECTION 1 Regular Meetings


The Association of the Future Teachers (AFT) shall hold Regular Meeting every
Wednesday of the month.

SECTION 2 Special Meetings


Special Meeting shall be called by the President or at the position of at least one – third
(1/3) of the total members of the Association.

SECTION 3 Notices
3.1. Notice of date, time, and place of meetings of the officers and members shall be
posted at the College Bulletin Board at least five (5) days before the date set for
the Meeting.

3.2. For urgent Meeting, the notice shall be communicated personally to all the
members concerned.

ARTICLE VI
RIGHTS and DUTIES of the ADVISERS
SECTION 1
The advisers shall have the right to be informed of all organizational activities, meetings,
and functions.

SECTION 2
The advisers shall have the authority and responsibility to guide the Officers and
Members in the implementation of the activity and shall assist in the decision – making
process of the Organization.

ARTICLE VII
AMENDMENTS and REVISIONS

SECTION 1
A member of the Organization may propose any amendment and / or revisions of this
Constitution provided that the amendment and / or revisions are presented in printed
copies thereof and sent to all active members at least seven (7) days prior to its
deliberations.

ARTICLE VIII
CONSIDERATION of the AMENDMENTS and REVISIONS

SECTION 1
Consideration of the amendments depends on what is agreed upon by the majority of all
members and advisers.

ARTICLE IX
BORROWING SYSTEM of AFT
1. All members are qualified to borrow money if:

 he / she has paid his membership fee;

 he / she has paid all the contributions contrived by the organization; and

 he / she abides all the policies of the organization particularly in uniforms.

2. The borrower must notify the organization one (1) week before he / she intends to
borrow, provided with a letter duly signed by the parent/s.

3. The borrower must secure signature from at least the majority of the organization’s
officer including the Adviser/s.

4. The maximum amount he / she could borrow is only P1, 500.00.

5. Borrowing money is only allowed until semi – finals.

6. Money borrowed is payable within fifteen (15) days.

7. Failure to pay within the specified day will be penalized by paying an additional of One
Hundred pesos (P100.00) for the amount borrowed.
