The tutorial provides instructions for making a beginner-friendly bento bag out of fabric using basic sewing techniques.

You will hem the raw edges of the fabric, then sew all the way around the folded edge to finish it.

You fold the fabric to form triangles and sew the seams to create the shape of the bag, turning it right side out as you go.

Cut out the template pieces and tape them together. It should measure 9”x 27”. Cut a piece of fabric to size using
the template.

Place the wrong side of the fabric facing up. Fold the raw edge 1/4” in towards the wrong side of the fabric and press.
Then fold it towards the wrong side again, hiding the raw edge, and then press. Do this for all sides. It will look like a
hemmed dish towel.

Sew all the way around close to the folded edge. Lay the wrong side of the fabric facing the floor, right side up. Then
grab the left end of the fabric and bring it about the third way towards the right. Now bring the right side of the
fabric over to the left.

Now you have three layers of fabric with the wrong side facing up. Lift up the first layer and sew along the remain-
ing two layers together right along the seam line.

Sew as close to the seam as possible. Then turn the fabric around so that the sewn edge is facing away from you.
Bring the corner that is close to you towards the opposite corner, forming a triangle.

Overlap the fabric by folding it from the right to the left. Now you are going to sew these two layers together along
the seam. Basically, you are putting the middle layer out of the way while you sew the top and the bottom layer.

If you did it correctly, it should look like this when you turn it right side out. At this point, you can do a decorative
stitch at the centre as shown.

Turn the bag inside out again so that the right side of the bag is on the inside. Lift the corners up and then gently
drop them towards the centre, exposing the gusset corners. Sew 5” across on two corners as shown.
