In every school institutions, oral recitation is always included in every meeting either
impromptu or not. Oral recitation is included in a grading system under performance that is
having a very high percentage. Oral recitation defined as the process of accessing a person’s
oral presentation style and their ability to support their arguments/opinions effectively through
the use of spoken communication and often used as a tool for testing the knowledge of
students in a way that allows assessors to prove and scrutinize students (Joughin,1998).
On this study, G-10 perception on oral recitation as highlighted and focused topic,
this would help the researcher gather information from the every side of students on how they
misses an oral recitation then there is a big possibility that they will get lower score. Oral

Recitation is traditionally how students were tested. In earlier times, the primary form of
examination was by oral recitation. A student stood before a teacher or panel of teachers and
was asked to give oral explanations on a variety of questions in multiple subjects. These oral

recitation and to identify its dependent variables such as lack of self- esteem, lack of
comprehension, and fear of criticism. The student’s personal information, are their age,
gender, and strand. The researcher limited the survey questionnaire to 10 respondents, to G-
10 students, in Gingoog City Colleges. Each of the respondents was given a questionnaire to
