BRACING SYSTEMS
The bracing systems are significant part of the Pre-Engineered Building
systems that help transfer seismic loads and wind loads from end walls
and side walls to the foundation. X-Bracing systems and Portal Bracing
systems are the commonly used bracing systems for transferring lateral
forces into the foundation.

X-Bracing Systems
Consist of rods, cables and angles bracing systems. They are used in wall
and roof planes as axial loads paths to transfer all horizontal loads to the
foundations.

Portal Bracing System

The portal bracing system is another kind of bracing system comprises
of a beam with fixed supports connected to two adjacent columns. This
system is used instead of X-Bracing in the location where clear height is
needed for doors access or other accessories.

43
INSULATION
To provide more valuable delivery of pre-engineered metal building solutions,
we offer a few options of quality insulation products, which can reduce heat gain
and loss through the building envelope, moderating the building’s interior
temperature, improving building’s energy efficiency, and preventing rust and
corrosion.

AIR BUBBLE
Air Bubble insulation is an effective blocking material to stop heat penetration
from the outer environment. The thermal insulation concept of heat transfer is
that the hot sun rays are a bounce from the surface of aluminium foil and stops
hitting the inner environment.

POLYURETHANES
Polyurethanes are popular in insulation solution for its flexible, high-resilience
foam seating, and rigid foam. We offer Polyurethanes in the form of a sandwich
panel with a metal sheet both sides, or metal sheet on the top and aluminium
sheet on the bottom. These sandwich panels can be used for both roof and wall.

GLASS WOOL
Glass Wool insulation is a fibrous material that can provide the best features and
performances in terms of thermal insulation. Many small pockets of air between
the glass in this Glass Wool material helps block the heat from the outside
environment into the buildings.

44
VENTILATOR SYSTEM
To make the buildings more functional, our
system can integrate roof monitor, which is
wind-induced natural ventilation. Such a system
is well designed to assure thermal comfort in
the hot and humid atmosphere; this natural
ventilation pulls the hot air out and maintain
the circulation of cooler air, hence minimizing
the work of cooling systems inside the buildings.
Such a system will help ensure the life
expectancy of the roof structure and materials
as well. We have two standard types of roof
monitors for our customer’s choice.

SKYLIGHT
Our superior quality skylights are carefully selected and designed to provide
sufficient daylighting for the buildings. By providing light during the daytime, this
means owners can reduce the energy consumption, hence optimizing the energy
efficiency for the buildings. Skylight installation can be a challenge and prone to
water leakage if it is not properly designed and erected. In Fuxin Pre-Engineered
Building Systems, we provide a compatible system between roof and skylight that
can effectively prevent water leakage.

MULTI-STOREY STEEL
BUILDING SYSTEMS

MULTI-STORY BUILDING SYSTEM I

47
STRUCTURAL FRAME
AND CONNECTION
Steel buildings are suitable for buildings such as shopping malls, office
buildings, showrooms, and car parks that demand large open spaces.

The moment frame system is a kind of system with column and beam which
are connected with fully and/or partially restrained moment connections so
it allows the transfer of shear forces and bending moment forces between a
column and beam. Type of bolts used in this moment frame is high tension
bolts and are controlled by the torque wrench tool during erection.

48
COMPOSITE SLAB
AND BEAM SYSTEMS
Composite slab and beam system is an economical solution and widely used
in the multi-storey building because it combines structural efficiency with
speed of construction. Through this composite action, we can optimize the
slab and structural steel frame that can make the whole building stiffer and
lighter.

In-situ reinforced concrete is topped on the metal deck which not only serves
as permanent form work, but also provide sufficient shear bond with the
concrete, and later acts as a composite slab. At the same time, the attachment
of shear connectors to the top flange of the beam creates the composite
interaction.

MULTI-STORY BUILDING SYSTEM I

49
CAR PARK
As the city becomes crowded, parking can be a major problem. Multi-storey steel
structure can be a perfect solution for the parking structure. Ideal design for car park
requires a long span, airy environment, load-bearing structure to resist the dynamic
load, and easy to maintain. The advantages of using steel structure solution for car
parking structure include:
• Light and airy
• Ideal for long spans providing column-free
parking space
• Lightweight reducing foundation
requirements
• Robust and fire-resistant
• Easily maintenance

50
COMMERCIAL BUILDING
The commercial sector demands buildings that are rapid to construct, of high quality,
flexibility, and energy-efficient. With the benefits of long span, speed of construction,
high quality and environment-friendly, a steel building is widely recognized. The
advantages of using steel structure solution for the commercial building include:
• Faster Time allowing an early return for investment
• Flexible Design to meet the architectural requirement
• Light Weight allowing more cost-efficient

OFFICE BUILDING
There is a strong demand for high-quality
office space, especially in the city center
today. Steel structure can offer a suitable
solution for a project that looks for speed,
flexibility in design and construction. The
advantages of using steel structure
solution for office building include:
• Long Span allowing the space to be
arranged to suit open-plan offices
• Save up to 30% time of construction
• Light Weight allowing more cost-efficient
