    Department of Laboratory High School and Senior High School.

    Dave Hello everyone. Welcome to the school year 2020-2021! I am Sir


    Dave.

    Demie And I am Ma’am Demie, your teachers from DLHS. We’re here to tell
    you about our Department and the things you need to know under the
    new normal.

    Dave All of them, right here on this video. So, what are we waiting for? Let’s
    get started.

    About DLHS

    Voice Over 1 Demie The Department of Laboratory High School and Senior High School is
    aligned with the Department of Education’s K to 12 Basic Education
    Curriculum. It offers the secondary education level particularly the
    Junior High School program that is Grades 7 to 10 and the Senior
    High School program for Grades 11 and 12. For the Senior High
    School program, the Department only offers the Academic Track with
    the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics or STEM
    Strand.

    Department Goals

    Voice Over 2 Dave DLHS has been committed towards achieving its goals. It aims to
    provide quality instruction and promote moral uprightness to its
    learners and to produce well-rounded individuals who are contributors
    to the welfare of the region and the country.

    Voice Over 3 Demie Students from DLHS are provided with opportunities to excel not only
    in the academe but also in extra-curricular activities. They are also
    cultivated with the culture of extending their help to the community
    through research and extension. Guided with the University’s core
    values - Competence, Service, and Uprightness - the students of
    DLHS continue to soar higher in reaching their dreams.

    Voice Over 4 Dave The Department operates under the College of Industrial Technology
    and Teacher Education headed by the College Dean, Dr. Ramil B.
    Arante together with the direct supervision of its dynamic principal, Dr.
    Nathalie L. Daminar.

    Voice Over 5 Demie With the primary goal to provide quality education, the Department is
    also geared with a distinctive teaching force who will guide the
    learners in their pursuit to academic excellence.

    PTA

    Voice Over 8 Demie The Department also holds a strong relationship among its parents
    through the Parents – Teachers Association or PTA. The current
    General PTA Board of Directors is headed by the outgoing president,
    Mrs. Rosemarie D. Catian. The Association has designed various
    activities to strengthen the bond of the parents, the students, and the
    teachers. The PTA also continuously supports the Department with
    their initiatives of providing projects and expresses their full support to
    the students’ academic and extra curricular endeavors.

    Learning Modality

    Video Dave Under the new normal, the Department adapted the flexible learning
    modality. Particularly, with the current pandemic and with minimum
    health protocols to be followed, the online teaching-learning will be
    used for the delivery of instruction.

    Demie Following the online teaching-learning mode, we will use Google


    Classroom as our official learning management system. This means
    that all your learning materials will be made available in your Google
    Classroom. Remember to use your official Gmail account at all times.
    Further instructions will be provided by your adviser and instructors
    during your subject orientation.
