    Admissions Vertical Tasks

    Round 1

    [1] Crisis Management

    The Admissions Vertical requires you to be agile, responsive and empathetic. The vertical deals with several
    new situations on a day to day basis, which need to be tackled swiftly and, in a way, to facilitate maximum
    value for the candidates, while upholding the image of MDI.

    How, as an Adcommer, will you address these situations (Choose any five questions)

    1. An ex-director talking unprofessionally about our college and influencing masses against us
    2. News of fake MDI provisional admission calls sent to students
    3. Parents cribbing to tell you about the chances of conversion
    4. Students complaining the waitlist movement process is not transparent
    5. Students asking which college is better (Ex. IIM I vs MDI)
    6. Your classmates, not in admission’s committee giving unofficial information to new converts
    7. There is a sudden change in MDI's admission policy & process
    8. Your batch mates sharing slanderous content on Quora and FB
    9. AO shares conflicting information to the aspirants from what you have been telling them for months
    and aspirants start questioning you
    10. Aspirants spreading false information on public forums to fasten their waitlist movements

    Evaluation Criteria: The answers will be judged based on the quality and the genuineness of the answers.
    Round 2

    [1] Benchmarking – Perform a comprehensive benchmarking of admission related activities corresponding to


    your assigned colleges with MDI.

    Guidelines:

    Submission Format: 3 Slider PPT

    Roorkee, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIM Trichy, IIM Udaipur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Rohtak

    Bucketed based on the prominence of student-run program admission program. Assign one college from
    each bucket to the students on random basis.

    [2] Creating FAQs for MDI Gurgaon aspirants

     This task involves creation of a FAQ sheet which can be used to address queries that aspirants may
    have about MDI Gurgaon
     You are free to explore all kinds of queries that you may have frequently come across – about
    campus, admissions process, comparison with other colleges, life at MDI etc.
     Please ensure your answers to these questions are logical, crisp and well structured. You may use
    pictures to support your answer wherever applicable
     Minimum of 20 question-answer pairs must be created. There is no upper limit on the number of
    questions that you can add. A comprehensive and thorough FAQ sheet covering all common
    questions will be looked at favorably

    Round 3 – No Task
    Some random things:

    [1] What difficulties did you face during your admission process? Propose feasible solutions to those
    challenges.

     You are free to quote an anecdote/situation which you faced personally.

    [2] Study the admission process of the college and the initiatives to suggest process improvements.

    Improve the admission process (look at our handles/initiatives in the past and analyze what additional can be
    done) - seems repetitive
