COMPANY.

Introduction to Life Link Eco Technologies Pvt. Ltd.:

(a) Life Link Eco Technologies Pvt. Ltd. offers sustainable solutions for wastewater
treatment, water quality upgradation & water resource management.

(b) SBT (Soil Biotechnology, a process developed by IIT Bombay, patented in US

and India), The IP for SBT is owned by IIT Bombay. Life Link has been licensed by
IIT Bombay to deploy and implement the technology for commercial purposes.
SBT is patented in India and USA by IIT-B. Dr. B R Pattanaik, Founder of Life Link
Ecotechnologies Pvt. Ltd. is one of the authors of the patents. US patent No
6890438 / Indian Patent No. 203425, (384/MUM/2002), Dated 26/04/2002,
granted on 01/11/2006 & Indian Patent No. 203744(383/MUM/2002), dated
26/04/2002 granted on Dated 15/11/2006

(c) Its Primary Offering- SBT stands out as a cost-effective, indigenous solution to
address the problem of management of wastewater and organic solid waste,
specific to the Indian climatic, social and environmental scenario.

(d) SBT makes it possible for urban centers to deploy a solution that is clean &
green and based on principles of restoration of the health of soil, water and air.
Besides, the process, being entirely natural, depends very little on external energy
sources and conserves energy resources.

(e) Though SBT’s functioning is aligned with nature, it is intensive enough to fit in
a typical urban scenario that is scarce on space. An SBT system requires bare
minimum moving parts, is quiet & green, but its innocuous look hides intensive
processes that are based on fundamental ecological principles.
TECHNOLOGY

SBT is a bioconversion process where

fundamental reactions of nature namely
respiration, photosynthesis, mineral
weathering take place in a media housing
micro and macro organisms which bring about
the desired purification. SBT is an oxygen
supplying biological engine and so the process
can treat all types of water - domestic,
municipal and industrial. SBT uses the ecology
of soil media and biological reactions within a constructed bioreactor to treat waste
water. This is a giant technological leap forward from current technologies which
rely on aquatic ecology for treatment. This technological advance allows us to offer
energy efficient treatment solutions and deliver superior water quality

Features of our technology

. No external aeration
. Low power consumption
. All green process
. No moving parts
. No bio-sludge formation
. Efficient removal of pollution
. Garden like ambience
. One time media installation
. Long life
. Unskilled personnel sufficient to operate
The technology is covered by two US patents (patent no 6890438 B2 dated 5 May 2005 and
7604742 B2 dated 20 October 2009) and 2 Indian patents (patent no - 203744 and 203425) all
assigned to IIT Bombay.

PROPOSED TREATMENT SCHEME

Design Data
Table 1: Basis Data

Process Flow Drawing

Figure 2: Tentative Process Flow for SBT Effluent to Water Recycling System. Case A: Single Stage
1) Raw sewage is collected in Raw Water Tank (RWT) after initial screening and settling. 2) The
raw sewage is pumped on top of a SBT Bio Reactor where it percolates through a patented media.
The treated water is collected at the bottom of the Bio Reactor and stored in a Treated Water
Tank (TWT). Any further purification if required is achieved by recycling the treated water
through the Bio Reactor as shown. Incase as per site a two stage design is required then an
intermediate sump is required.
