Prince – Supreme authority within a city with regard to local Camarilla matters. Under Camarilla Tradition, a Prince has the power of life and death over all those in their domain. They have the power to refuse entry, the
power to destroy those who break the Traditions and the power to refuse permission to sire a new vampire
Seneschal – The Prince’s second-in-command, the Seneschal often deals with the routine tasks of running a city and wields the power of the Prince if the Prince is not present.
Primogen – Member of the council of elders that advise and assist the Prince in the management of the city. The power held by the Primogen council varies from city to city and Prince to Prince. The Primogen select the
Harpy.
Sheriff – The Prince’s officer charged with enforcing the Traditions and the Prince’s proclamations. It should be noted that they are very rarely empowered to punish violators summarily. Instead, most Sheriffs apprehend
violators and deliver them either to the Prince, the Seneschal, or to the vampire who controls the territory in which the violation occurred. Sheriffs can generally travel anywhere in their Prince's domain where they must to
carry out their functions, and they may appoint Deputies to assist them in these tasks. Sheriffs have a number of ways they can exercise discretion; for instance, they might overlook certain crimes, take the detainee to a more
friendly "judge", or nitpick violations of the Traditions, where they think that they can get away with it without harming their or their Prince's credibility.
Scourge – Prince’s officer charged with patrolling the city for outlaws; primarily those ignoring the Traditions of Progeny and Hospitality. Frequently, the scourge is granted the right of Destruction in the pursuit of her duties.
The Keeper of Elysium – The Keeper is in charge of what goes on in Elysium. A Toreador wishing to display her latest work, a Tremere wanting to give a lecture, or a Brujah scheduling an open debate on princely policies – all
must clear things with the Keeper, who can cancel or approve an event on the grounds of preserving the Masquerade. The Keeper is also in charge of maintaining the First Tradition in the Domain. As s/he spends most of the
night in Elysium, this generally means s/he punishes breaches after the fact, and cleans up any mess. The Keeper is responsible for maintaining the laws of Elysium, ensuring that mortals do not enter the area during Elysium,
and that events run smoothly. Most Keepers are appointed by the prince, often with the stipulation that their appointment is conditional until their qualifications are assured.
Harpy – Title given those at the center of the social pecking order. They are purveyors of rumor and innuendo and the ultimate judges of social status among the Kindred of a city. Harpies are the opinion leaders and the trend-
setters to whom other Kindred look when it comes to matters of taste, style, philosophy, or politics.
