    Solutions

    The Scenario

    Sustainable Future Inc are a big time Company looking for new and innovative ideas to tackle growing problem of water pollution. You
    need to find a solution to this water pollution! Pitch an idea towards sustainable future Inc that aims to combat water pollution in your
    local community

    The Task

    In groups of 3 Students are to design a product that will combat water pollution

    The Materials

    Groups will be given a range of reusable materials to construct their product. You may wish to collect materials from home if better
    suited to your project, but all materials must be sustainable

    The Investigation

    Students will be given wide range of useful websites to assist in beginning of the creative design process. Groups will be given
    opportunity to look at some different methods as to how people are choosing to tackle water pollution i.e. alternatives to plastics, using
    waste products to create bracelets, clothing, bicycles and even shoes or product such as Mr Trash Wheel which using wind power to
    scoop pollution out of the oceans and into a dump. Products are only limited by your imagination!

    Implementing

    Products needs to be realistic, sustainable and have potential to be incorporated into the local community. Groups are given wide range
    of freedom to take their project in any direction they choose to be suitable

    The Evaluation

    Project is to be presented to your peers during a five-minute product pitch. The class will act as Sustainable Futures Inc and will be
    evaluated by teacher against marking criteria (rubric)

    Considerations

    You only have 8 lessons to research, design and create your product

    Creating a prototype of a larger product is acceptable given time limit

    Need to consider what your product will be and how it will tackle water pollution
