Sex education should be taught in schools

Sex education is the education about sexual reproduction, sexual feelings,

contraceptive methods and principles about sex. Introduction to sexual education in
schools is one of the efforts taken in the aim to reduce the sexual-related problems
among the students. Sex education from the right sources is important, and,
therefore, it should be taught in the schools.

Many argue that parents provide a better quality of information on sexuality.

The school sends the wrong message to students when their sex education courses
are about how to use condoms, the pills and if they fail, where to get an abortion.
Conversely, the parents can provide their children with a sex education that is
individually tailored and focused. Although the parents might be the most suitable
person to give sex education to their children because they know what is right for
their children, most of the parents are discomfort about discussing sex-related issue
with their children. Parents denial to talk about this issue with their children drives
them to the internet and other unreliable media sources to find out more about the
topic, unknowingly received incorrect information about sex. Systematically provided
sex education by the school will help students to learn about the process of
reproduction and procreation will dispel myths and provide them with correct
knowledge. Hence, the school will give them a healthy perception of sex and make
them responsible adults.

In conclusion, sex education should be implemented in schools. Students

need correct information from the right sources about sex, sexual relationships and
various other related issues in order to make the right decision for their present and
future. Though the implementation of sex education in schools must be properly
planned with the help of both government and the parents because students will be
our pillars for the next generation.
