Glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD) is the enzyme responsible for the

synthesis of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). GABA is an important
inhibitory neurotransmitter in neurons and beta pancreatic cells. The two
isoforms in glutamic acid decarboxylase are identified as GAD-67 and
GAD-65. Both isoforms are present in both the brain and pancreas.

Current treatments for immunological disorders are nearly all empirical in

origin, using immunosuppressive drugs identified by screening large numbers
of natural and synthetic compounds. The drugs currently used to suppress
the immune system can be divided into three categories: first, powerful anti-
inflammatory drugs of the corticosteroid family such as prednisone; second,
cytotoxic drugs such as azathioprine and cyclophosphamide; and third, fungal
and bacterial derivatives, such as cyclosporine.

Clomiphene is a non-steroidal fertility medicine. It causes the pituitary gland to

release hormones needed to stimulate ovulation (the release of an egg from the
ovary).
Clomiphene is used to cause ovulation in women with certain medical conditions
(such as polycystic ovary syndrome) that prevent naturally occurring ovulation.

The main function of L-Dopa is as a precursor to several different neurotransmitters,

especially Dopamine.
The Dopamine chemical cannot itself cross over the blood-brain barrier and must be
synthesized in the brain.
However, L-Dopa can penetrate this barrier and leads to increased levels of this
pleasure-inducing hormone. L-Dopa is converted into Dopamine by the DOPA
decarboxylase enzyme, also known as aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase.
Another necessary component of this process is Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxal phosphate)
which is often stacked with L-Dopa supplements for increased conversion efficiency.

The goal for the emergent management of stroke is to assess the patient’s
airway, breathing, and circulation (ABCs); stabilize the patient as necessary;
and complete initial evaluation and assessment, including imaging and
laboratory studies, within 60 minutes of patient arrival . A Finnish study
demonstrated that time to treatment with fibrinolytics can be decreased
with changes in EMS and ED coordination and in ED procedures for treating
