BRIGADA ESKWELA 2019 SCRIPT

Erlie: A wise philosopher once said, “The difference between success and failure is a great team. And to
have a great team there should be a great teamwork. Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a
common vision. And when vision is put into practice, when who we want to be is constantly reflected in
our actions, then we can move closer to the better versions of ourselves and our institutions.

John: The Department of Education, centered on its vision to be a learner-centered institution, provides
programs and projects that will deliver quality service and holistic education to our clientele, our
stakeholders and our community. The department believes that education is the most powerful weapon
which you can use to change the world.

Erlie: To our active partners from the local government unit who never cease to help in the programs
and projects of the department, our Congressman in the Lone District of Romblon, Hon. Eleandro Jesus
“budoy” F. Madrona, our Governor, Hon. Jose “Otik” Riano, ---------

John: and of course to our leaders in the Department of Education who put forward the best quality
service, our Schools Division Superintendent, Mr. Roger F. Capa, our Assistant Schoos Division
Superintendet, Mr. Rufino B. Foz, our Schools Governance and Operations Division Chief, Mr. Hipolito M.
Berano, our Curriculum Implementation Division Chief, Mr. Melchor Famorcan, our Education Program
Supervisors, our Public Schools District Supervisors and our awardees and visitors.. Good evening to
each and everyone of you.

Both: And welcome to the Division Awarding of the 2019 Brigada Eskwela Best School Implementers

Erlie: The Brigada Eskwela project is an annual nationwide initiative of the Department of Education that
mobilizes thousands of parents, alumni, civic groups, non-governmental organizations, teachers,
students, and individuals who volunteer their time to help in preparation for the school opening. This
year’s theme for Brigada Eskwela- “Matatag na bayan para sa maunlad na paaralan” aims to invite more
members of the society to participate in this year’s brigade eskwela in order to strengthen linkages and
at the same time improve the quality of education.

John: That is right. Brigada Eskwela has been the number one program of the department that promotes
camaraderie, cooperation, and volunteerism between and among the members of the society. And
tonight, we will give due recognition to the schools who made exemplary performance during the
conduct of this year’s brigade eskwela. To formally start tonight’s program, may we request everyone to
please stand as we utter our opening prayer to ask for the Lord’s guidance.

(Doxology)

Erlie: Please remain standing as we pay tribute to our national flag through the singing of the National
Anthem and this shall be followed immediately by the singing of the Deped Romblon hymn
accompanied by the RNHS Rondalya.

(Natl anthem and romblon hymn)

John: You may now take your seat. At this point, let us all listen to the welcome message of our
approachable and persistent Assitant Schools Division Superintendent- Mr. Rufino B. Foz.

(Message sir foz)

Erlie: Thank you so much, Sir Foz. Having good leaders is the first step to actual project success and twe
are fortunate enough to have such great and responsible leaders here in Romblon that contribute a lot
to the success of our programs and projects.

John: And to give us a short message, let us all welcome our very proactive and compassionate Schools
Division Superintendent, Mr. Roger F. Capa.

everybody works together for the betterment of our ommunity, we will all have a society that is worth
living in.

Erlie: I agree with you on that, sir john. But before we proceed with the awarding, let us all take a
moment and relax as we witness an intermission number from Calabogo Elementary School. Let us all
