Thank you for doing what you've done even though who knows if the Valve janitors will do something
about it.

The last Spring Cleaning update was in 2018, right? We got one in 2014, 2016, and 2018, but not
2020. Probably time for another one.

Spirits "level up" while already out if you put a skill point into it, instead of staying at the level they
were casted at.
This possibly works with spell amp too now? As the change would make sense with overcharge
effecting spirits that are already summoned before you cast overcharge. Will test when home.
permalinkembedsavereportgive awardreply
This is intended and has always been the case, previously the passive Spirits spell was just hidden
and replaced by the Spirits In/Out sub-spell. The bug here is that Break doesnt disable the new
passive ability.
The currently weird thing about Wisp is that the sub-spells disappear from the HUD, which makes it
expand/shrink in size.
It shouldnt do this, it should just turn the spells inactive (gray), like it used to do back when Wisp
naturally had 6 spells (Tether, Spirits, Overcharge, Spirits In, Spirits Out, Relocate).

Meh, it was Wisp in Dota 2 at some point and it sounds better than Eye-Oh. You just kinda stick with
it.
Same with Windrunner, but definitely not Lycanthrope (Lycan is better).
permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive awardreply
[–]GHASTLYEYRIEE
Everyone were just saying Lycan anyways. The thr-sound could take longer to pronounce too.

Do you think there is a reason these changes were not mentioned on the patch notes?

Perhaps Icefrog works by frequently tweaking the numbers in the code a lot. The devs documenting
these into the patch notes and tooltips can't keep up. These batch of changes could be the last ones
he did shortly before release that weren't communicated properly to the patch notes writer.

[–]kvicksilv3r
Because it is super easy to miss changes. Unless someone puts the correct description in the
commit the change will be forgotten. Human error factor.

I think they’re just minor changes that’s not really a big deal but the np treats 2x damage is actually
very strong idk why valve wouldn’t announce it
permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive awardreply
Even if that's true though, why would it matter, these are changes, and people who view full patch
notes should see full patch notes, no?
permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive awardreply
permalinkembedsavereportgive awardreply
They are local. Just search for npc_abilities.txt, etc. in your Steam folder.

Bleep bloop, I am a robot. OP can reply with "Try hero_name" to update this with new hero
permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive awardreply
This seems weird and out of character for the Dota team. Everything okay Valve?
permalinkembedsavereportgive awardreply
This is not the first time it has happened. This guy makes these posts every year about
uncodumented changes
permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive awardreply
I wonder if some of these nerfs/buffs affected the heroes' win rate while the player base didn't know
about them yet.
Would give some kind of perspective on how much these minor 0.5 seconds or -1 attributes nerfs
Icefrog likes to give heroes actually affect their performances.
permalinkembedsavereportgive awardreply
for the qop talent - that happens only when you add an aghs , otherwise it's reflected properly, for
those playing qop with aghs just count 50+ damage on all levels from the aghs and look at the
'Damage' text not the 'Scepter Damage' , also always press alt when checking these values to
account for spell amp as well.
permalinkembedsavereportgive awardreply
What about tricks of the trade aghinims not saying it attacks 2 units?
permalinkembedsavereportgive awardreply
nice
permalinkembedsavereportgive awardreply
Bug: aether lens and kotl ult cast range don't stack. F u valve!
permalinkembedsavereportgive awardreply
Soon techies will receive a full divine rapier as a 25 talent, we only need to wait the janitor techies
game to end.
permalinkembedsavereportgive awardreply
it needs to modify hits to be a good talent again. the damage is not enough

I agree that they should fix tooltips, but the unmentioned changes, what are they supposed to do
about that? They're there now and tooltips line up with them, isn't that good enough? It sure is for
me.

If they want to keep them, push a 7.28"c" changelog that makes these changes official and intended.
permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive awardreply
How is undoing them good? Then you'll just the the same people whining about the hidden changes
going the other way.
Isn't the most important thing that the tooltips are correct? Do they really have to go back and make
sure all the patch notes are correct? How would your life change if you found out that 'Witch Doctor
got +0.2 Agi gain in 7.08d'?

The things OP lists were either randomly applied (no update note or changelog) or weren’t applied
despite being in an update note or changelog (ES Remnant duration).
permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive awardreply
I see, still weird they changed gameplay without a version update. Not the first time they do that but
still.
permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive awardreply
We used to have the test client and test client updates for that.
They havent touched the test client in years, so now we get this shit in random followup patches,
due to a 1 hero change not being "worth" a proper sub-patch.
permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive awardreply
Dude, these are really impactful changes, that they didn’t get mentioned anywhere is actually pretty
severe and really speaks about the lack of quality control in the recent years.

Yes, I too am very surprised that there's a few errors in the 3,000 lines of patch notes. /s
permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive awardreply
some of them are intentional since patch logs are overwhelming and most people don't read them,
they are trying to reduce patch logs to important ones.
