1. Software card reading test interface operation
(1) Open the serial port
Connect the serial port of the card reader correctly, turn on the power, the
system will automatically match the serial port number, select the
corresponding baud rate, check, click , the serial port is opened,
as shown in the figure below:
If the serial port connection is unsuccessful, the serial port number is displayed
as 0, click to open the serial port to return an error report.
(2) Tuning state
After the serial port is opened, click read the system tuning status.
Normal communication shows the red spectrum band.
If the communication is abnormal, there is no red spectrum band display.
Please check whether the data communication line is correct.
1
(3) Data printing
When communicating normally, click when printing is turned on, each
subsequent operation will return the corresponding command data (for detailed
commands, please refer to the card reader protocol and description), TX is the
host sending command, RX is the card reader returning data. When there is too
much data, click to clear all data in the print box. No data is returned
when printing is closed.
Abnormal communication, each operation state only sends but no data is
returned, please check whether the data communication line is correct.
(4) Read back the card number
The card number can be fully displayed by conventional use of 4 character(8
Bytes). If necessary, you can modify the length of the read card number as
required.
When the communication is normal, the label enters the field,
click when the card is read, Return 8 Bytes of data (in the
slave active sending mode, the reader will actively send data after reading
the card), the returned data is shown in the figure
below:

2.general settings-save configuration with power-off
(1) Serial port configuration
The default baud rate of the card reader is 19200, even parity. If you need
to change the configuration, you can enter the corresponding value here
and click , You can modify the baud rate and calibration of the
device. By default, the high 4 bits 1~6 represent baud rate, and the low 4 bits
0~2 represent parity. For example, the serial port configuration "22" in the
above figure represents 19200 baud rate even parity. This configuration data
is stored permanently and will not be lost after power off.
(2) Buzzer
The default setting of the card reader is that the buzzer is off, and the
card reader has no sound prompt. If you need to change the configuration, you
can select 0 or 1, click , you can modify the buzzer switch
of the device. 0 means off, no sound prompt for card reading; 1 means on, buzzer
prompt for card reading. This configuration data is stored permanently and will
not be lost after power off.
(3) Master and slave
The card reader factory defaults to slave mode. If you need to change the
3
configuration, you can select 0~1 in it, click , you can
modify the master-slave mode of the card reader. 0 represents the master and
1 represents the slave. This configuration data is stored permanently and will
not be lost after power off.
(4) Redundant data length
This function means that in addition to the card number and country code,
some cards send data with other data behind. The current product supports up
to 20 bytes data to be accessed. With factory defaults, the redundant data
length is 0. If you need to change the configuration, you can enter the
corresponding value and click , you can modify the
redundant data length. This configuration data is stored permanently and will
not be lost after power off.
(5) Address modification
The factory default of the card reader is registered address 2. If you need
to change the address, you can enter the corresponding value and
click Then you can modify the device address to corresponding
value. Each slave must have a unique address code, and only the slaves that
meet the address code can respond to the return data, the value ranges from
1 to 247, where 0 is the universal address number. This configuration data is
stored permanently and will not be lost after power off.
(6)Read back module information view
Click , you can view the status of the data length,
device address, system version information, product ID, etc. after verifying
4
the device.
3.General settings-configuration that will not be saved after
power off
(1) Send successively
The factory default of the card reader is that the card reader only sends
one frame of data. If you need to change the configuration, you can change
1 and click to modify the data sending mode
of the device. By default, 0 means single transmission, and data is only sent
once when the card is read; 1 means continuous transmission, and the tag enters
the field and continues to send data until the tag leaves the field. This
configuration data will not be saved when the power is off, and it needs to
be configured every time the power is turned on.
5
(2)Antenna switch modification
The factory default of the card reader is that the antenna is on. If you need
to change the antenna status, you can select 0 and
click , you can modify the antenna switch
of the card reader. 0 means the antenna is off, the card cannot be read, and
the card reader indicator light has no response; 1 means the antenna is turned
on, the card can be read, and the tag entry card reader indicator lights up
normally. This configuration data will not be saved when the power is off, and
it needs to be configured every time the power is turned on.
(3)Slave actively sends data modification
The factory default of the card reader is the master-slave mode, and the
card reader will not actively return data. If you need to change the sending
mode, select 1 and click to
modify the card reading data of this device to the slave active sending mode.
0 represents the master-slave mode, and the card reading data needs to be waited
for the host to access; 1 represents active sending, the reader will actively
send the card reading data to the bus after reading the card. This configuration
data will not be saved when the power is off, and it needs to be configured
every time the power is turned on.
(4)Read back module information view
Click to view the status information of device data
transmission, antenna switch, synchronization master-slave, product UID, etc.

4. Restore settings-forget the baud rate, check or device
address processing method
(1) If you know the address, but don’t know the baud rate and verification:
fill in the address correctly, open the serial port and change the "serial
port configuration" to 22, click "modify", when the baud rate window number
stops beating, it is complete Change the baud rate and parity to the factory
default values (19200 and even parity).
(2) If you know the baud rate and parity, but do not know the address: fill
in the baud rate and parity correctly, open the serial port and change the
"device address" to 0, and change the "modify address to" to 2 , Click "After
configuration with data length and device address", you can change the
address to the factory default value 2.
(3) When the baud rate, checksum address are not known: after opening the
serial port, change the "device address" to 0, first change the "serial port
configuration" to 22, and click "modify". After the modification is
successful, change the "modify the address to" to 2, and click on the "with
data length and device address after configuration" to change the baud rate
and checksum address to the factory default values (19200, even checksum
2).
