Learning Activity 1
Please watch the video clip on Low-Cost and Low – Tech Resources for the Classroom.
Video Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCKQP7zzYjU
After watching the video clip, individually answer the following questions:
1. How do you develop simple instructional materials as shown in the video? (5
points)
My observation about the video is you can use anything or just a simple
paper to teach without using any digital tools. Non-Digital and Digital Skills and
Tools in Delivering Technology-Enhanced Lessons serve as guide for every teachers on
what to teach and how to teach. What to teach in the manner of what non-digital or
digital tools you are going to use in an appropriate learning or topics. How to teach in
where how can we integrate this following digital and non-digital tools to facilitate and
enhance learning. It also gives us a strategies on how can we teach better in facing new
generation in where advanced technology is commonly used. It sometime brought back
my old memory when I was an elementary students, in where some of my teachers
really have and presented the given non-digital tools in teaching. it helps us to enjoy
learning with the flip chart, diorama, writing board and other non-digital tool. But
nowadays we cannot deny the fact with the changes in behaviour and learning style of
every students. Even to my self I am enjoying the class having a power point
presentation, printed materials and many thing that advanced technology is presented,
in short by the means of integrating and by the use of digital tools in teaching. How
much more a little individuals in elementary, if at my age I am amazed of what digital
tools bring inside the class how much more for them in where they are being exposed in
the things that there generation known with. May be it could really enhance learning
effectively, with the proper guidance and at the same time proper usage that it could
not affect the behaviour of every students. For what I have observe, there are parents
and other people blamed technology in the changes of the attitude of their children,
they conclude that this technology only causes bad effect. But it really a great help for
everyone, it is a big for every student. In where they can learn in a new and enjoyable
way.
Planets - you can use WALL DISPLAY so that your students will easily know what your
teaching. You will need a printed picture of planets, any types of glue.
Cover the walls using paper or fabric.
Use black borders
Stick to a simple color scheme.
Cover open shelving.
Create lasting purposeful displays.
Food Web - use a FOLDABLE PAPER. A paper shaped pentagon in the middle and just
like flowers it has a petal shaped also like pentagon.
Plant and animal cell - you can use a LAPBOOK. It is a foldable paper, you can use
manila papaer or cartolina fold it into 8 .
Vocabulary word or terms in Science - you can use COOTIE CATCHER. You need a
paper, fold it like folding or creating a paper boat. Every sides has a vocabulary
word.

GROUP 5
LEARNING ACTIVITY 2
With your group mates, develop an instructional material. You may develop it based on any topic in your
field of specialization. Below is the link for the rubric to be used in rating your output.

We called it, "LET'S EXPLORE THE ECOSYSTEM- A LIFE SIZE BOARD GAME"
We want to produce a board game that enhances every learners’ meta-cognitive skills, communication
skills, and to build creativity and seek fun in learning. To learn and acquire potential skills in the learners,
we prepared them a game to play with, because we also believe that "play is the best form of learning"
Baer (1995)
MATERIALS NEEDED:
12 pieces 1 whole white cardboard alternative must be a thin plywood, chip board, or any type
of very tin wood
Animal figurines, papier Mache, or toys
Glue gun and glue sticks
Adhesive tapes
Foot shape paper plate
6×6 Interchangeable die
Customize flashcards
Scissors/Cutter
A fish bowl, box of juice, or a small container
Pencils
Brush and paint base
Select a student you wanted to play the game. It could be individual or by group.
After selecting students line them up on a starting point which is the sun-drawing located.
Roll the die and make them choose who go first.
Then discuss the instructions for the game to win.
In the fish bowl, box of juice or a small container every time they got the correct answer about
the questions they can step forward, however student-players who didn't answer it will have a
consequence like it could be either imitating the voice of given organism, giving example of an
ecosystem, etc.
The winner get an extra point, the loser will report the next lessons.
The learners should step forwardly to reach the finish line. Which is the human spot.
Each question in the bowl prepared by the facilitator of learning must be answered correctly or
if not, at least they got some trivial answer from each other.
The interchangeable die will be an advantage as it gives extra steps from the game base.
During the game the players must prepare their prior knowledge to answer some questions.
The game is not all about who came first to the finish line, it is all about the player who explore
more the board game.
The game only circulates in question, steps and start point and finish line.
The learners must think, be imaginative to relate the questions or consequences in the card
board game.
The facilitator of learning must provide an easy to answer questions related to the theme of the
cardboard game.
The game must be played before the discussion to respond actively.
Lastly, to freshen up or lighten up the topic before proceeding to the real discussion
