The Annual General Meeting for the Members of York Region Standard Condominium Corporation (YRSCC) No. 1001 will take place on W ednesday, March 3rd, 2021. The meeting will be held virtually on Zoom because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic with authority to do so being provided by the province in their legislative response to the crisis. T he meeting will be called to order at 7:00 pm but you may join 15 minutes beforehand.
The virtual meeting will be hosted by GPM Property Management with electronic voting facilitated through a service called Election Buddy.
The usual business covered at Annual General Meetings will be transacted along with the other items noted in the included agenda. Among the business to conduct, there will be elections for three (3) directors. Two general positions with terms of two (2) years each. The third position for a three (3) year term will be for only voted on by those Owners who live on site. We require a minimum of 25% of Owners represented live on Zoom or by submitting their electronic votes in advance of the meeting to achieve the quorum requirement. f
The Corporation’s Board of Directors has determined that it is in the best interests of the Corporation to pass a by-law to allow there to be an option for meetings of the Corporation (including AGMs such as this) being conducted virtually and electronic voting to be used, if required. meetings and meetings of Owners virtually with electronic voting as an option. Please find enclosed a copy of the Corporation’s proposed Electronic Meetings By-Law (By-law #8) for your consideration.
