The document discusses the organization and capabilities of Stryker Brigade Combat Teams (SBCTs) over time, including their core attributes and challenges.

The SBCT's core lethality comes from infantry squads, scout platoons, anti-tank missiles, and fires. They provide expeditionary combined arms and balance mobility with firepower.

Challenges include direct fire lethality gaps, size/weight/power constraints, and shortages in maintenance personnel.

SBCT Requirements in 2028

SBCT Desired Capability #1:

The SBCT of 2028 requires the capability to employ its formations in the operational area through movement in
combination with converged lethal and nonlethal capabilities across multiple domains, the EMS, and the information
environment to create synergistic effects that increase relative combat power and provide the overmatch necessary to
destroy or defeat enemy forces.

What Remains Unchanged

Mission
SBCTs disrupt or destroy enemy military forces, control land areas including populations and resources and are prepared to conduct
combat operations to protect U.S. national interests.
