    (WATER & SOLVENT BASED INSULATING VARNISH FOR
    CLASS-H REFRIGERATING MOTORS)

    PRODUCT

    AQUAPOXY - 3800 is an impregnating varnish based on phenolic modified epoxy resin.


    The solvents in combination with distilled water are used as diluent and this diluents is mild
    enough not to have any deleterious effect on enameled wires. This is an RoHS compliant
    product.

    APPLICATION

    AQUAPOXY - 3800 is ideally suited for impregnation of all wire wound motors and
    especially suitable for motors used for refrigerating applications. The thermal rating of this
    varnish is Class-H. This varnish is specially recommended for the following applications.

    • Class H - HT machines
    • Resistant to refrigerants such as R22 and R134a
    • Due to excellent chemical resistance, used as an impregnant for drives in chemical
    industry.
    • Dry type resin impregnated transformers
    • Special duty motors

    SPECIAL FEATURES

    • Thermal Index of 180 - 200oC.


    • Water compatible varnish.
    • Suitable for explosion proof motors.

    • Excellent bond strength to dual coated wires.
    • Excellent resistance to chemicals and oils.

    AQUAPOXY - 3800 is to be applied by dip impregnation. The preheated windings are kept
    in the impregnation chamber and evacuated. After a vacuum level of 10-15mm is reached,
    the vacuum valve is shut and the varnish is allowed to rise from the bottom valve. Allow the
    winding to remain completely soaked for at least one hour. The varnish is now drained back
    to the storage tank.

    This varnish can also be applied by roll impregnation and also by trickle, if necessary.

    AQUAPOXY - 3800 generally meets the requirements of IS: 10026- Part 3, Section 7.

    Precautions : As a general rule, inhalation of solvent vapours or
    varnish mist must be avoided. Forced ventilation
    must be provided while applying the varnish. Wear
    protective clothing like face-mask, gloves and
    overalls.
