IV PROCEDURES
A. Review/Presenting Present scrambled word of CURRENT, VOLTAGE, and RESISTANCE to the
New Lesson students. Ask them to unscramble the words. After unscrambling, the
teacher will inform the students that they will meet the following words in
the lesson.
B. Establishing a Let the students share their ideas about current, voltage and resistance.
purpose of Lesson Ask them how they are familiar with the three words.
C. Presenting instances Give definition of Current, Voltage and Resistance
of the new lesson Give the definition of series and parallel circuit.
D. Discussing new Discussion of Effects of Voltage and Resistance and Electric Current. The
concepts and practicing teacher will use the circuit construction simulator to discuss the effects of
new skills #1 voltage and resistance on electric current.
Discussion of series and parallel circuit.
E. Discussing new The students will work on pairs to answer the following questions, as the
concept and practicing teacher demonstrates circuit construction.
new skills #2 1. What happens to the movement of electrons as the battery increases?
2. What happens to the movement of electrons as we remove some
batteries?
3. How is electric current related to voltage?
4. What happens to the movement of electrons as we add more bulbs?
5. What happens to the movement of electrons as we lesson the bulbs?
6. What happens to electric current as the resistance increases?
F. Developing Master Directly proportional or Indirectly proportional?
How is voltage and current related to each other?
How is resistance and current related to each other?
G. Finding Practical The teacher will discuss the safety precautions in handling electrical
application of concepts appliances
in daily living.
H. Making “Change is never painful, Only the Resistance to change is painful”
Generalization and
Abstraction
I. Evaluation True or False
1. Increasing the voltage of the circuit will increase its current.
2. Increasing the resistance of the circuit will lessen its current.
3. decrease in current may be caused by decrease on voltage or decrease
in resistance.
4. Decrease in current may be caused by increase on voltage or decrease in
resistance.
5. Increase in current may be caused by increase on voltage or decrease in
resistance.
