    V. SIMPLE INTEREST (10 points)

    A. How long it will take for P 25,000 to gain an interest of P 6400, if it is invested at a simple interest
    rate of 8%
    per annum?

    B. A sum of money was invested at a simple interest rate for 8 years and amounted to P 13,600. If the
    said money is invested for 12 years at the same simple interest rate, it will amount to P 16,150. What
    was the interest rate?

    Interest rate is 0.075% / 7.5%

    VI. COMPOUND INTEREST (10 points)

    A. A capital of P 35,600 is invested into a Bank Account that offers a rate of 8.5% compounded every 6
    months. How much Interest will it gain after 6 years?
    A = 59072.58

    B. How long will it take for an amount of 16,000 to gain an interest of P 7500, if it is invested at a rate of
    8% compounded quarterly?

    =4.85 years
