2-A fish tank that contains 40-cm-high water is moved in the cabin
of an elevator. Determine the pressure at the bottom of the tank
when the elevator is (a) stationary, (b) moving up with an upward
acceleration of 3 m/s2, and (c) moving down with a downward
acceleration of 3 m/s2.
4- A tank 3m height contain oil (s.g = 0.8) its surface below the
upper edge of the tank by 1m. If the length of the tank is 8m,
calculate the maximum horizontal acceleration to pulley the tank
without spill the oil from the tank and the pressure along the
bottom of the tank.
10- A floating body 100 m wide and 150 m long has a gross weight
of 60,000 ton. Its center of gravity is 0.5 m above the water
surface. Find the metacentric height and the restoring couple when
the body is given a tilt as shown 0.6 m.
