Countries that
Starbucks
operate in
Starbucks operate in 79
other countries aside from
the Philippines. Due to this
great number, I will only
list the top 10 countries
with the most Starbucks
stores. They are: United
States of America, China,
Canada, Japan, Korea,
Mexico, Indonesia, United
Kingdom, Taiwan and
Thailand.
TECHNOLOGIES THAT
MADE THE CREATION OF
THE PRODUCT POSSIBLE
Roasting facilities
The roasting facilities are the main reason why these
products are manufactured. Raw materials are shipped to
one of the six roasting facilities in the US or to the European
roasting facility in Amsterdam. Each facility ensures that
beans are identically manufactured and packaged.

Transportation
Starbucks use air transport since it is the most
recommended for them. The use of airplanes provide the
fastest means of transport; therefore, enabling Starbucks to
increase its performances when market demands are high.

Communication
Communication technologies are the main reason for
Starbucks' networking strategies. Because of
communications and partnerships, they are able to acquire a
lot of suppliers. The company's key suppliers are domiciled
in the United States, Singapore, Hong Kong, Mexico,
Indonesia, India, France, Canada, and other countries. They
lease properties for Starbucks as well as provide them with
other raw materials such as milk and other dairy products.
Learnings
from this
activity
This activity has definitely made
me recognize the great value
that globalization has brought
about to our economy and
connections with other
countries. Given that Starbucks
only started as a small store in
Seattle, we have partnerships
and globalization to thank for it
has now become a multimillion
dollar company that is
operating in 80 countries. This
does not only revolve on
Starbucks' numerous income
but we should also note that it
has Italian influence with it
therefore as consumers we
have exposure to their culture
as well as that of the different
countries that contribute to the
manufacture and distribution of
Starbucks' products.
