    TITLE: Re-echo about the Webinar on Digitization of Self Learning Modules and
    Other Learning Resources

    REFLECTION:

    A LAC session was held in connection with the Undersecretary for Administration
    (OUA) Aide memoire dated July 1, 2020 regarding the DepEd Learning Management
    System (LMS) and Electronic Self-Learning Management (LRMS), Curriculum
    Implementation Division (CID) conducted a webinar on Digitization of Self-Learning
    Modules and other Learning Resources in the preparation for the incoming school
    year.

    The re-echo of the said webinar was laid by the Subject Group Head of Science, Technology,
    Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Mrs. Vanessa S. Camara and facilitated by Jay-
    R DC. Osorio that gave technical assistance to the teachers about the different
    software applications that can be used in making the existing PDF format SLMs into
    interactive digital ones. Thus, provides teachers and learners added option to digitize
    SLMs for online and/or blended distance learning.

    Advancing our technical knowledge on how we could make every possible means in
    delivering our lessons and lessening the use of papers, it will definitely make the
    impression of living to our values of resourcefulness and sustainable living.

    TITLE: INTERDISCIPLINARY INTEGRATION OF SUPPLEMENTARY LEARNING


    MATERIAL (SLM) ACTIVITIES FOR 2ND SEMESTER SUBJECTS

    DATE: January 29, 2021

    REFLECTION:

    In lieu of the academic ease guidelines advocated by the Department of Education brought
    about by the existing pandemic, the STEM Department initiated a LAC session on
    “Interdisciplinary integration of Supplementary Learning Material (SLM) activities for
    2nd semester subjects”.

    The session was facilitated by Ms. Jiselle Dela Vega and Sir Mark Datinguinoo which
    emphasized the importance of the integration of activities for subjects for STEM
    students. These further explicates that the curriculum being spiral and comes within
    and across the subject areas. The subjects included in the proposed activities are
    Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science, and Disaster Readiness and Risk
    Reduction.

    The product output and a subject specific rubrics was proposed that will be equivalent
    to the performance of the learner and will lessen the time, resources, and give way to
    other equally important academic requirements. The focused-group-discussion of the
    performance task to be given was agreed upon by the body with the approval of the
    subject group head which will be accomplished in one quarter for grade 11 and/or 12.

    The said task to be given aims to enhance the


    learners’ soft skill of creativity and resourcefulness and hard skill of thinking outside
    the box which can be of great use to their day to day dealings.
