Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning, and working with a skilled team of Talent
Acquisition Specialists and Coordinators, you will be primarily responsible for managing resourcing requirements for
the hiring needs of your assigned business areas - serving as a partner and subject matter expert in talent acquisition.
You will participate in regular status meetings to provide resourcing updates for assigned roles, as well as develop
working relationships with external recruitment agencies and future talent. In this multi-faceted career opportunity, you
will support your client groups, devise recruitment strategies, conduct full-cycle recruitment, create marketing
campaigns and proactively identify and promote pipelined talent for upcoming roles within Canfor, among other

Key Responsibilities:
Manage key relationships within operating divisions and departments to gain full appreciation of roles,
projects and priorities.
Seek to understand full scope of staffing requirements for operating divisions.
Gain full working knowledge of HRIS; utilize HRIS Recruitment System to manage full cycle recruitment and
staffing objectives.
Meet regularly with operating divisions and departments to gain understanding of overall needs, act as an
advisor on prospective candidates and influence the businesses on hiring process and decision making.
Balance activities to ensure positive candidate and hiring manager experiences.
Provide input for improvement in recruitment processes and best practices.
Utilize advanced sourcing techniques.

Actively engage in technical, behavioural or situational interviewing assessments as well as psychometric
testing, reference checks and background checks.
Prepare qualified, prospective candidates for operating divisions along with supporting recommendations.
Ensure offers are processed rapidly and with full legislative and quality standards.
Participate in networking events, workshops and seminars to develop subject matter expertise.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or Marketing plus three (3) to
five (5) years recent recruitment experience with a successful track record as a technical recruiter in a large,
high-volume, complex and rapidly changing environment; or, an equivalent combination of education, training
and experience.
A Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or a Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designation
would be considered an asset.
Experience in international recruitment would be considered an asset.
Demonstrated achievement in recruiting for hard-to-find resources, including but not limited to trades,
engineers, supervisory, IT, finance, accounting and management positions.
Well defined and proven sourcing methods, high degree of familiarity/proficiency with recruitment tools such
as LinkedIn, social media and multiple search engine, job aggregators/propagators, etc.
Demonstrated competency in working with competing priorities.
Well established relationship management skills – experience in working with and guiding/providing
consultative advise to hiring teams within operations.
Strong practical experience with ATS Recruitment Software.
Strong team-oriented working style.
Track record of bringing new recruiting operating concepts to fruition, active participant in the enhancement of
tools, techniques, process and procedures.
Computer literacy, including effective working skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
