1. The pending Re. 1 is considered as debt and means that that person
will pay back Re. 1 when they meet next. The intent of this cycle is to
make your bond stronger, by meeting more often to repay the debt.

2. As a wedding gift, it is believed that cash which is not divisible by 2


brings the couple together since a remainder is left. Since even numbers
don’t leave remainders when divided by 2, the meaning of this
superstition is nullified.

3. Shagun is given at the beginning of something. A psychological


notion is that nothing good starts with a 0, so by adding a rupee, the
counting begins with 1.

said that these crows let the hosts known about the
arrival of this visitor.

Since birds fly distances, they communicate with each


other and inform about any guests who might be
coming your way.
