A Vice President having more than thirty (30) years of experience heads this division. A group of
competent sales executives and sales engineers are assisting him to run the division efficiently and

This division is engaged in activities with Bangladesh Telecommunications

Company Ltd. - BTCL [previously called Bangladesh Telegraph &
Telephone Board (BTTB)] as well as with private telecom operators.
GETCO as an Agent of Alcatel, France is proud to have assisted Alcatel to
have a share of telecom land line market of 25% with Alcatel switches and
30% of transmission system with Alcatel transmission products.

This division is also involved in construction & installation of process plant,

power cable, energy metering, etc. on behalf of the Principals.

GETCO formed its Aviation and Defense Division with retired Civil Aviation and Defense Forces
personnel to run. The ex-Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, who also served as the
Managing Director of Bangladesh Biman (The National Flag Carrier) is heading this division. Aviation
and Defense Division is responsible for supplying products and providing services to Defense Forces,
Law Enforcement Agencies, Coast Guard, Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited and Civil Aviation
Authority.

This division is supervised by an Executive Director having about 20 (twenty) years of experience in
Sales, Marketing and Project implementation.

Under this division there are two departments which are strategic profit centers of their own:

Oil & Gas Wing is responsible for supplying products and providing services to the
Oil & Gas industry in Bangladesh. The major clients are Petro Bangla (National
Oil, Gas, and Minerals Corporation) and its subsidiary companies like BAPEX,
BGFCL, SGFL, GTCL, KGTS, TITAS, SGCL, BGSL, RPGLL, PGTL, JGSL.

ACTIVITIES

Business involvement with Petro Bangla and its subsidiary companies was started
in 1978. Since then, GETCO became one of the major companies to supply
drilling materials and third party services to Petro Bangla. This business includes
Drilling, Mud Logging, Wire Line Logging, supplying Valves, Casing and Tubing
Heads, X-Mass Trees, etc.
Some of the major achievements in Oil & Gas sector:
Drilling Contracts to drill 9 development wells + 2 work over wells
Contracts for Wire line logging services, Well cementation services, Mud
engineering services, Directional drilling services, Rehabilitation of
National Rig, Supply of mud pumps, derricks, and rotary tables.
Supply of Tubing, Drill Pipe, and Casing to different companies such as
BAPEX, BGFCL, SGFL.
Supply of various types of Mining equipments& Tools to Boropukuria Coal
Mining and Maddhyapara Granite Project.

Oil and Gas Wing is interested in working as a local agent of reputed foreign
companies for EPC of Construction of High Pressure Gas Pipe Line, Processing
Plants, Fractionation Plant, PSC on offshore and onshore concessions etc.
(b) Machine and Generator Wing:

Machine and Generator Wing is responsible for selling of diesel generators and
construction equipments. It has rental operation as well.

This Wing is also responsible to provide after sales support for all the Equipment,
Generator, Compressor and Machine sold by GETCO to customers. Providing
spare parts and service to the customers through a professional team is the key

of success of this department. This department is enriched with a modern
Warehouse, Workshop, Tools Room and dedicated qualified service professionals
for every line of Equipment, Generator, Compressor and Machine. A Service
Consultant, having 40 years of experience is working as the Mentor of the team.
ACTIVITIES
This wing is involved in sales & rental of generators ranging from 9 KVA to
3000 KVA representing ONIS VISA of ITALY and SCANGEN of Singapore.
Rental fleet consists of 100~500 KVA Diesel Generators to provide instant
power to the customers on emergency.

Product Support service team provides service support to the customer for
compressor, machines, gas & diesel engines for inspection, preventive
maintenance, troubleshooting & complete overhauls.

As Caterpillar dealer until October 2004, GETCO sold and serviced around 400
caterpillar gas generators with an installed capacity of about 500 MW and diesel
engine of around 225 MW. The installed capacity of MTU gas engines sold by
GETCO is about 20 MW.
B. Handling & Dredging Equipment, Compressor and Railway Parts Department:
This Department is responsible for:

Sales of Atlas Copco Air Compressor, Mining equipment, Pneumatic
Tools etc. to Govt. and Private Industries namely, Textile, Cement,
Fertilizer, Chemical, Power, Pharmaceutical Industries.
§
Promoting IMW CNG compressor and other equipment in
Bangladesh market including “Mother-Daughter” station.
§
Sales of Handling & Dredging Equipment, Special type of Vehicles,
Agricultural Equipment and Workshop Equipment.

Supply of Locomotive Spares for Bangladesh Railway’s on behalf of

POWER DIVISION

Power Division is responsible for performing any type of business in the power sector in
Bangladesh. This includes:

unit- 4 (210 MW) of Ghorasal Thermal Power Station through our principal M/S.
OJSC “ Power Machine”, Russia and completed it successfully.

2. In 2008, we signed a contract amounting to US$ 0.118 million with Bangladesh

Power Development Board (BPDB) for supply of spare parts for Siddhirganj (210
MW) Power Station through our principal M/S. OJSC “Power Machine”, Russia
and completed it successfully.

Development Board (BPDB) for feasibility study of Coal Based Power Plant to be

4. In 2010, we signed a contract amounting to US$ 233,388 with Bangladesh Power

Development Board (BPDB) for feasibility study of Coal Based Power Plant to be
constructed at Khulna though our principal M/S. NTPC Ltd, India and completed

5. In 2011, we signed a contract amounting to INR 27,267,837 + US$ 1,465,232 +

BDT 132,896,895 with Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh Ltd.
(EGCBL) for Engaging a Service Provider for Operation and Maintenance
Service of Siddhirganj 2 x 120 MW Peaking Power Plant, Siddhirganj,
Narayanganj, Bangladesh though our principal M/S. NTPC Ltd, India and
completed it successfully.

6. In 2011, we signed a contract amounting to US$ 7.368 million + BDT 413.380

million with Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd. (PGCBL) for Supply,
Erection, testing and commissioning of 230KV Transmission Line (55KM)
though our principal M/S. Sanergy Co., (Pishro Export and Energy Promotion
Company), Iran and completed it successfully.

Transportation & Technology Division is working with Bangladesh Railway (BR), Water Supply and
Sewerage Authority and ICT/IT sector in connection with product supply and for projects on turnkey

This parts division is responsible to generate parts business and

Service Division

This division is responsible to attend to our customers’ service requirements. This division has the

buyers, periodical inspection, recommending preventive maintenance procedures and for training the
operators on the proper operation of the machines and also repairing of the machines.

FINANCE & COMMERCIAL DEPARTMENT

A General Manager with more than twenty years experience in

accounting and finance has the responsibility to run this department. The
department handles the accounts and all financial matters of the
company. It maintains relationships with the banking and non -banking
financial institutions in the country as required from time to time.

This department has also the responsibility to look after the commercial and
logistic functions in connection with import of equipment and materials by the

GETCO Telecommunications Limited is a part of GETCO group

focusing on Telecommunication business established in 2007. The
company was awarded license to operate Interconnection
Exchange (ICX). The license is valid for 15 years with the provision
of extension by another 10 years. The Interconnection Exchange
(ICX) enables to route international incoming and outgoing and also
inter operator domestic calls to and from Access Network Service

Network infrastructure:

The switching system is based on state of the art technologies

on Huawei NGN platform with the capacity to handle eighteen
(18) million BHCA and also 150,000 concurrent calls. IGWs are
connected in ring networks based on underground optical fiber
cable to keep 99.99% availability. ANS operators are also
connected on linear protection through underground fiber optic
cable. GETCO introduced Oracle Communications Billing and
Revenue Management in Bangladesh for the first time. With this
software deployment, GETCO fully streamlines its billing
operations and gain the ability to deliver real-time billing,
perform instant call rating and maintain all subscriber level
billing records for administrative and revenue calculation
purposes.

carrying both international and inter operator domestic calls.
We have two (2) exchanges in Dhaka, while other two (2) are
located at Bogra (Northwest of Bangladesh) and Sylhet
