    Lesson 04: Writing Your Story

    The most memorable moment in my life was my first time joining a league in our
    barangay. First, I was so nervous that I can’t even handle a ball because that was my
    first time play in the court that many people our watching. I’m shy all I can do is to run
    and run, that was funny and when I have the ball I try to shoot and it’s in. Me and my
    teammates was so happy because that was my first time and by that it boost my
    confidence and starting receiving the ball, but the sad part is we can’t able to make in
    semi-finals because our opponents are taller than us. We can’t do anything, that our we
    can only do is to wish that we were like that. It’s summer again my coach name Zedric
    train us to improve our game. They say that our team is weak and we our small. We
    can’t say or do anything because that was true so we’re train hard and we don’t stop
    playing basketball until we get tired and we waited another year to join again in the
    league. And we aim that in the next league we can get the championship to pay our
    hardworks and sacrifices. We win we lose but this time we able to get in the finals we
    are happy but was nervous and scared because our opponents are taller than us that
    our center’s height is their point guard’s height. The people’s say that our game was like
    David versus Golliath, they say we can’t but we let our game speak and first game
    starts, we lost and the fans of our opponents says that “ di kayo mananalo, wala pang
    talo mga to”. So in the second game we are lucky that we win they heard nothing from
    us, then we wait a day to our third game against them that was the last game a Do or
    Die. In the first and second quarter we are struggling to score and in the third quarter we
    starting to chase their score from 30-47 to 46-52. Me and my brothers give the best and
    we do not know the word pain and tired we hassle until our score tied up we were so
    happy but the game is not yet done. In the last minute they have the lead and they
    became complacement and that was the time that we take advantage of it and again we
    tied up and this is the moment I will never forget my teammate steal the ball and then I
    run immediately and pass it to me and I shoot it. All of the people watching are
    screaming the whole court is crowded and then the game is over, we win. We can’t
    believe that our dreams come true and finally we can call ourselves a champions. Then
    I receive my first ever trophy of being a MVP in the league, I was so happy that I can’t
    even believe in myself that I got this. And now all of this is just a memory that we wll
    never forget. Our sacrifices and hard works already pays off.
    Activity 2:
    1) For me it was easy when the story is true. Not invented nor imagine, because
    that is the moments in your life that you can’t forget until you are grey and old.
    2) I think I have the confidence and empathy in terms of communication.
    3) The aspects of communication I want to improve in is the way I respect the
    saying of others, because sometimes I was sarcastic person that they think that
    I’m not respecting they’re saying, but literally I’m joking.
