The problem Apple company is addressing is about “data privacy” where Craig Federighi told Joanna Stern of the
Wall Street Journal that the company's goal is to "give users a choice." Giving users a choice over how their data
is used is the “right thing” because that's the best thing for users according to Apple.

"These devices are so intimately a part of our lives and contain so much of what we're thinking and where we've NEXT
been and who we've been with that users deserve and need control of that information," said Federighi.

(for MacBooks). He became eager to oversee this
department in the company because he envisioned that
Apple customers are using up-to-date software that is
secure that not even Apple could access their own
manufactured products. This also has something to do
with their ongoing fight with Facebook’s privacy issue.
