A brief History of the company
The Apple Company (formerly Apple Computer, Inc.) is a multinational
corporation headquartered in Silicon Valley, Cupertino, California and
engaged in the design, development, and sale of goods including consumer
electronics, computer software, and personal computers. Apple Inc. was
founded on April 1, 1976 and incorporated as Apple Computer, Inc. on January
3, 1977. On January 9, 2007, the word "Computer" was removed to reflect
Apple's focus on consumer electronics after the launch of the iPhone. Apple
was founded by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne in April 1976
to develop and sell Wozniak's Apple I personal computer. The company was
officially established under the name Apple Computer, Inc. in January 1977.
Apple will recognize a line of software products including OS X and iOS

operating systems, iTunes music players, and the Safari web browser, and
hardware including iMac desk computers, Macbook Pro laptops, iPod song
players, and iPhone mobile phones.

services. Apple-manufactured hardware includes iPhone
smartphones, iPad tablet computers, Mac personal

includes the macOS and iOS operating systems, iTunes
media player, Safari web browser, and iLife and iWork
