STEP 1: Load AutoCAD

STEP 2: Select acadiso.dwt from the Get Started Menu (Start Drawing)
STEP 3: Enable Dynamic Input and ORTHOMODE [F8] (See your Status Bar below the Command Window)

IF you can’t find them in the Status Bar, CLICK here and
CHECK them on the list.

STEP 4: Save your file.

RIGHT CLICK on this tab, and select Save As…

This will appear next.

Type Ellipse1 in the File name box. Then Click Save.

Note: Drawing1 is now replaced with Ellipse1.

You can now start your activity as shown below:

STEP 5: Click LINE from the HOME tab.
STEP 6: Click anywhere in your drawing area. Then draw a horizontal line with length of 150 units, as shown below.
STEP 7: Press ENTER and another ENTER.

STEP 8: Zoom In to view your line. (Or use Zoom Extents in your Navigation Bar and Zoom In, for your own viewing
convenience.)

STEP 9: Hover your mouse on the line and until it reaches the Midpoint and snaps on it.

Note: If the Midpoint (Green Triangle) is not visible, move your mouse away from the line. Hold down
SHIFT and RIGHT CLICK your mouse. Select Midpoint from the choices presented and release SHIFT. Then
hover your mouse on the line again.

STEP 10: Slowly move your mouse above the line until you can get a value of around 50 units with an <90. Observe the
vector line (green line) which serves as your guide.

STEP 11: And from there CLICK your mouse all the way down until you get a value of about 100 units or so. Release your
mouse then Press ENTER key and another ENTER key. You can now see a Cross in your drawing area, like the one shown
below.

STEP 12: Select ELLIPSE from the Home Tab. Then CLICK your mouse on the Midpoint. Move your mouse to the right
then type 60 as the value for radius along x-axis. Then type 40 as the value for radius along y-axis. Shown below is the
result.

STEP 13: To draw the circle, choose CIRCLE: Center, Diameter. Click on the Midpoint and drag your mouse, then type 30.
Click again on CIRCLE: Center, Diameter. Click on the Midpoint and drag your mouse, then type 60.

STEP 14: To draw the 2 corner circles, each with a diameter of 10 units. You need to mark the center of these circles
which is 50 units from the center on both sides. To draw a parallel line from the center to the left and to the right, you
have to choose OFFSET from the Modify Ribbon.

STEP 15: Specify Offset distance: Type 50 then Press ENTER key. Observe that your cursor now becomes a small square.
Click on the Vertical Center Line, and move your mouse to the left just outside the drawing and Click.
Click again on the Vertical Center Line, this time move your mouse to the right just outside the drawing and Click.

Here is the result.

STEP 16: Click on CIRCLE: Center, Diameter. Click on the Intersection of the line near the corner on the left and drag your
mouse, then type 10 and Press ENTER. Do the same on the right side.

STEP 17: Click on the ERASE tool on the Modify Ribbon. Click on each Line to finalize your drawing. Press ENTER.
STEP 18: SAVE it again, by Pressing CTRL S.
