2. Explain how the sports developed over the years
3. Identify the governing body for International Cricket
4. List at least five member countries of the I CC.
5. Show willingness to learn about the sport.

Content summary

Cricket was invented in 1478 and was first called criquet. The first laws of cricket were
published by the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). The full member countries of the
International Cricket Council (ICC) are; England, Australia, India, West Indies, South Africa,
New Zealand, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and New Zealand. The International Cricket
Council (ICC) is the governing body for International Cricket.

Procedure

A Video of a Cricket match will be projected

1. Students will be asked which sport was displayed.

1. A hand-out will be issued containing the development of cricket. A guided discussion


will then follow, on the development and changes that were made. Students will write
