What is change
The pace of global, economic, and technological development makes change an inevitable feature of
organizational life. However, change that happens to an organization can be distinguished from change
that is planned by its members.
Under normal circumstances, driving change in the workplace is already quite challenging. Today,
workplace transformation needs to be more agile.
Developmental change - Any organizational change that improves and optimizes on previously
established processes, strategies and procedures.
Transitional change - Change that moves an organization away from its current state to a new state in
order to solve a problem, such as mergers and acquisitions and automation.
Transformational change - Change that radically and fundamentally alters the culture, core values and
operations
Change is not always perceived as positive, and many employees may be resistant to changes within
their organizations. Therefore, successful business transformation is all about getting employees' buy-in
and embedding new behaviors in the workplace.
Companies have to act fast and as a consequence, change is implemented with no smooth transition,
which is highly challenging for both businesses and employees.
The other 62%, however, look at that same exact statement and immediately feel fear and discomfort.
They may think, "Oh great, this change will have an effect on my career growth." or "I will not do what I
like doing any more." or “Will they keep me in?”.
What is the role of mgt when facing employee resistance- as many can
Conclusion
Change may be defined as a variation in the established way of life to which people are accustomed to
in the organization. ∎ Organization is open system and it is affected by the internal and external
environment and subjected to change as per the change in the environment.

advisable masterplan, with changes) then implementation of system (team of analysis, based on ideas,
they will study the organization first, than help create platforms, system (A-Z systems)). – working flow
If required to change new techs, than IBM also has stocks for laptops, services to change the system and
implementation of hardware and working flow. If current is not suitable, they will refresh, reshape
policies and procedures.

with customers, in terms of providing service, consultation. Requirements for employees had changed
as customers must be offered with services of changing their system. Labor must be ready to have
