    Why do so many people travel nowadays?

    In my opinion travelling is the best way of relaxation and recreation. You can forget about
    your work and spend your days with people you like. You can learn about other people and
    cultures by visiting famous places, learning about customs and speaking foreign languages. I
    like travelling as many people do. But I can’t afford to travel as much as I would like to.

    Why do some people choose to book a package holiday?

    People choose package holidays because they don’t want to bother with organising their
    holiday. The travel agency arranges everything for them: transportation, meals,
    accommodation and all the programmes. They pay a single, all-inclusive price that covers
    everything. The advantage can be that you travel with others. You have to be adaptable.
    Maybe you have no time to look at everything properly. You can have a bad guide.

    Why do some people prefer individual trips?

    They prefer planning their holidays themselves. They book accommodation, buy tickets, and
    plan all the programmes. They can change their mind if they want. They don’t have to adapt
    to others. Individual tours can be cheaper than package tours. But to plan everything takes a
    long time.

    What different types of accommodation can you choose from?

    In Hungary tourists can stay at hotels, motels, guest houses, youth hostels and in
    campsites. You can choose from 2 to 5-star hotels. The most expensive hotels are the 5-star
    hotels where you can find all kinds of services like room service, restaurants, bars, swimming
    pool, or fitness centres. At hotels you can choose between half-board, full-board or all-
    inclusive board. Motels are along roads and motorways. They are cheap hotels for people
    travelling by car. A guest house offers different services and you can have breakfast, lunch
    and dinner. The price is reasonable. A youth hostel is very cheap, but you have to share your
    rooms with others, so you have no privacy. It is not always modern and well equipped. It is
    popular with young people. Camping holiday is for young people who don’t want to spend
    too much money on accommodation. It is one of the cheapest forms of holiday. You can
    enjoy freedom. If you don’t like the place, you can go to another. You are in nature, and you
    are active all the time. But you depend on the weather and as you spend all the time in the
    open air, bugs and mosquitoes are irritating.

    There are many types of holidays: adventure travel, beach holiday, camping, climbing
    holiday, cruises, cycling holiday, sailing, water sports holiday, wellness weekends, city
    breaks and many others.
