Project Profile
 Project Title Youth Initiatives Congress 2018
Activating Youth Advocates for Sustainable Philippines
#WorkOnYourGoals
 Project United Nations created Sustainable Development Goals or Global
Background/Rationale Goals to purposely guide every nation in the world in creating
projects for the people and planet. That every project leads to a
sustainable 2030.

The member nations of the UN are measured through the targets

stipulated in every goal of Sustainable Development Goals or
Global Goals. Our country is one of the members and our rank got
significant notches from previous years. Still, we have a lot to do to
reach at least 90% of the targets every goal with low scores. We
still need to act and respond to the objectives. We have a long
road to take to have a sustainable future. As a youth, creating and
implementing sustainable projects is the best way that we can do
to help the nation get a better future for our children.

This year, the rate of SDG awareness in the population of young

individuals is widely favorable. It is obvious that in the Philippines,
we have a lot of organizations or youth groups that advocate
SDGs. It wouldn’t be surprising if our country will be tagged as the
most active nation in advocating SDGs and promising nation in
holding conferences with SDGs as the main subject.

However, how are we fully aware that SDGs is not just for
awareness? For conferences? For talks? That we, the youth,
should know that SDGs is a guide to act and implement projects in
according to its indicators or targets.

Where are we now on helping the nation to be sustainable in

2030?
