CONSTRUCTED RESPONSES 10 of 10 points

CONSTRUCTED RESPONSES: Answer the following briefly in 3-5 sentences.

RUBRIC

1. Suppose you have discovered a chemical compound that doubles a 5/5

person’s intelligence. However, the compound can make a person
permanently sterile. Will you recommend the use of this compound? *

For me, I will not recommend the use of this compound. Reproduction is important for our
survival and it's against the law of nature and God's Law as will. On the other hand, may this
discovery must be checked by the scientist and put to clinical trial like our vaccines. It's our
government to decide wether to use or not use it for greater benefit of our people.

2. Every day, you can observe situations in which chemical changes 5/5
occur. Some of these changes are beneficial to humans, while others are
harmful. Cite at least 2 examples each of beneficial and harmful chemical
changes. For each example, justify that is indeed a chemical change. *

These are the beneficial chemical changes I can observe in my daily life. First, is when
plants make their own food through a process called photosynthesis. We get food from the
plants and consume them to make us healthy. And second, is food digestion, it is an
important process for us humans in order for us to break down the food we eat into
nutrients. On the other hand, for harmful chemical changes, is first, spoilage of food like
rotting of fruits and vegetables. And second, is the damaging of our organ due to cancer
cells.
