    For a college student who wants to be successful in life it is important that they should be
    focused in their studies and do not give in to peer-pressure and coercion. Sadly, despite having
    knowledge of the consequences, many students are resorting to substance abuse practice because they
    are intimidated or bullied.

    The aim of the study is to determine the factors due to which students are practicing substance
    abuse which has affected their studies. We plan to study what has caused some intelligent students to
    shift their focus from studies to substance abuse activities.

    To conduct this study, we will gather data of teenage students from various, colleges in the
    area through questionnaires and personal interviews

    1. because certain topics can mislead you, and there are factors that we cannot control like the
    weather and how many subjects want to participate.
    2. It calls for a thorough understanding and possible solution. Research on existing theories and
    concepts help us identify the range and applications of them. It is the fountain of knowledge
    and provide guidelines for solving problems. Research leads to a new style of life and makes it
    better.

    Application:
    Problems to be resolved through research Reasons
    1. Out of school youth There are a ton of out of school youth in our
    community, with different reasons as to why
    they’re not in school.
    2. Dengue Despite the number of times our community has
    done a search and destroy, there has always
    been cases of dengue fever here.
    3. Teenage pregnancy Because lately there has been numerous
    encounters if teenage pregnancy in the
    community.

    IV. ASSESSMENT:
    Youth is one of the major groups in the population and as they grow older, they should have
    proper education that can help them succeed in the future as they are the mark of the new generation
    that can help our country evolve and detach itself from poverty. Although there has been numerous
    amounts of kids and teens that are out of school.

    The aim of this study is to identify the main reason why youth are out of school instead of
    attaining proper education from their municipalities. The out of school youth of barangay Catagbacan
    from ages 12-18 will be involved in this research.
