1. Determine profile of the water pumps being

used as water sources in the Sitio along:
1.1. number of water-pumps installed;
1.2. year range of installed water-
pumps; and
1.3. common uses of water from
water-pumps
2. Perform a laboratory analysis of sample Process
from water-pumps in terms of the
physicochemical and microbial parameters as 1. Conduct survey using
follows: survey questionnaire.
2.1. pH level; 2. Analyze and interpret
2.2. temperature; the gathered data.
2.3. color; 3. Use the appropriate
2.4. total suspended solids; statistical treatment of
2.5. chloride; data. Output
2.6. phosphate;
2.7. nitrate; and Water Quality of

3. To compare the laboratory result of Pumps in Barangay Sitio
physicochemical and microbial assessment to in Tarlac City
the standard values set by the Department of
Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

This figure shows the concept of the study entitled, “ Water Quality of Drinking Water from
Pumps in Barangay Sitio in Tarlac City. As you can see, the input shows the objectives of the study
because it contains the list of what was the aim of the study. Next, the process, it represents how the data
for the research is being gathered and analyzed. Also, the treatment of the data is part of the process.
Lastly, the output exhibits or displays the result of the study and the study itself. According to Robert, E.,
(1970), conceptual framework is used to organize the ideas so that a researcher can achieve the purpose of
the study and the methods to be done.
