Introduction: This paper investigates big data analytics research and application in

supply chain management between 2010 and 2016 and provides insights to industries.
. They are surveying new techniques to investigate how data are produced, captured,
organized and analyzed to give valuable insights to industries. Big Data analytics is
one of the best techniques which can help them in overcoming their problem.
Realizing the promising benefits of big data analytics in the supply chain has
motivated us to do the article review on the importance/impact of big data analytics
and its application in supply chain management.

 Strength
1.Meta-heuristic method: This article follow the meta heuristic method to perform
Statistical analysis, simulation, and optimization .
2.Reliable source: This article use Harzing Publish or Perish software program to
retrieve academic publication data from 2010 to 2016 that contain all of the keywords
‘‘Big Data” and “Supply Chain” in their titles. This database software program uses
Google Scholar and Microsoft Academic Search to obtain and analyze the citation
(Harzing, 2007). This software tool is designed to enable individual researchers in
presenting a noteworthy case for research impact to its best benefit
3.Studied on rare topic: They discuss about internalrelationship among data and
optimize the inventory ordering decisions. Where as the software discuss only about
two publications of inventory management. The review was also done on stated topic
which was not included in the table 1 of data analytic they are : “sourcing”, “network
design”, “product design, product development”, “demand planning, demand
forecasting”, “procurement, purchasing”, “production”, “scheduling”, “inventory” and
“logistics”

4. International sample: A comprehensive literature review is performed for this

research. About 100 or more peer-reviewed journal articles/conference proceedings,
as well as industrial white papers, are reviewed. Harzing Publish or Perish software
was employed to investigate and critically analyze the trends and perspectives of big
data research and applications in supply chain management between 2010 and 2016.
Weakness
1. Biased: As the research was done on the information of a software . as a result
many of the keyword were not enlisted . so they didn’t add too much about those
missing concept
2. Statistical analysis: according to my opinion , it will be more relatable if the
analysis were presented on graph or by numerical figures. There was explanation of
different points . but the graph of articles from 2010-2016 were not described that
much.
3. lack of surveying : As their outcomes were based on questionnaire approach.
They cannot touch the in depth about companies. The analysis were done on an
average outcome. It will be more better if it was done on specific outcomes.
According to me it might give more fruitful display of bid data analysis

Recommendations
1. As their are based on Harzing Publish or Perish software which was very sensitive
for them to input keywords. Literature s which have slightly different keywords are
missed out. So it is better to take information from other reliable source.
2. Their review on the current literature does not consider the quality of the literature
except that the literature has been cited at least once. They focused on considering the
latest research of big data analytics in supply chain management..
3.we recommend them to consider future research in the implementation of big data
analytics in specifific industry application. All other aspects of supply chain
management should also be studied with real data, especially big data analytics for
strategic sourcing, network design, procurement, and inventory management, as well
as big data analytics that supports supply chain coordination, agility, and
sustainability.
