4 Throw light on the status of industry & trade during the Harappan era.

(a) "The basic foundation of Indian culture took shape in the era of Indus

three of these popular classical dance forms.

Give an outline of the "Rajarshi" (Priest-king) model of administrative


leadership as was prevalent in India during the era of Indus valley
16 civilization. Did the "Rajarshi" model had any bearing on the Trusteeship
model as developed later by Mahatma Gandhi for business leaders?
Discuss.

Instructions for students:


1) All the topics are compulsory for all groups. That means, each group will prepare his
write-ups for all the 16 topics. At the time of submission, lottery method will be
applied to determine which topic is to be submitted by which group. Submission has
be done then and then.

2) Make use of text book and web resources for preparing the write-ups.

3) Write-ups should be brief, preferably having a maximum length of 4 typed pages (for
each topic). Where necessary, maps may be used.

4) Two copies of the same write-up have to be submitted- one in Word format and one in
PDF format.

5) Submission will be arranged immediately after the autumn vacation.
