SUMMER SESSION SPEAKING SITUATIONS 2021
A second-year student should be able to say 170 words on each of the following situations
using 50% of the information from the texts and 50% of the vocabulary given in the
brackets after the situations.
1. Give your sister/brother some pieces of advice how to become a reasonable customer

5. Dwell on the peculiarities of dry cleaning and laundry service (use the information from

6. Compare the climate of Ukraine and the climate of the UK (use the information from
the text “The Climate of Britain” on p. 308 of “A Way to Success” by Тучина Н.В.,
Жаркова І.В. та ін. and the vocabulary on the topic “Weather and Climate”).
7. Describe how people can use their pets and other animals to forecast the weather (use
the information from the text “Weather Forecasting” on p. 310 of “A Way to Success” by
Тучина Н.В., Жаркова І.В. та ін. and use the vocabulary on the topic “Weather and
Climate”).
8. Describe any natural disaster that is a dramatic reminder of the power of nature (use

9. Describe the season that best reflects your temperament (use the vocabulary on the
