Question 1: Analysis of the company you

would like to work for in future.

Choosing a company in which you would like to be employed in future is a key question for all the
students. It’s very essential to make right decision because the correct decision will help you achieving
your personal goals of career and personality development. If one make wrong discoing then it might
prove disastrous for him and his future career.

When choosing up a company to be employed in one should think about the type of qualification he has
and the type of skills and qualification s that are demanded by the company. The market in which
company operate should also be considered as it is also very important. One should also know about all
of the products that are offered by that particular company and they ways they do things. Because it is
better to know about company in detail before making any decision.

The company which I always thought that I would work for and it is my dream to work is Apple Inc. this
would be a dream job for me

Background of the company:

Apple Inc. is an American multinational organization and its major products are computer related
electronics and softwares.Apple has 30 retail stores in ten countries around the world and it also has an
online store from where its products can be purchased. (Wikipedia)

In terms of size and turnover it is one of the largest companies of the world if not the largest. Apple is
widely known for its advanced technology and it is most advanced company in terms of technology in
the world and it has this status ahead of Microsoft which used to be world leader in terms of
technology.

Start:
Apple Inc. was found in 1976 and it was then called apple computer Inc. but the computer word was
removed from the company name in 2007 to reflect that company has moved from traditional computer
manufacturing to other aspects of consumer electronics.

Size:
The number of full time employees at apple is 46000 and it also gives employment to 2800 temporary
employees and total turnover of apple Inc. in 2010 was  $65.23 billion.

IPad
The way pc was going to be used was going to change. The apple lived up to its reputation and it was the
first which sensed the need for new generation of tablet pcs and introduced iPad in 2010. Its main
feature is its touch screen and its all interface is touching a move away from the traditional mouse
interface. It also gives support in many different languages and you can interact with different mediums
in touch like newspapers and books etc.

In March 2011 apple has also introduced the new version of ipad. Thais version has two cameras one on
the front and other is on the back. Also this version has the 3G technology which is future of mobile
connectivity.

IPod

IPod is the digital music player product of apple Inc. and it was launched in 2001. Since then it has been
very popular. Apple has been very innovative and smart with this product. They have made some
adjustments and released different versions to cater the needs of different type of users.

Currently iPod is the most popular music player in the market with over 220 million copies sold last year.

 IPod classic….this is the earliest generation of iPods

  IPod nana…this version was introduces in 2005 and it has features like FM radio and touch
screen
 IPod shuffle….this is digital audio layer and was first introduced in 2005
 IPod touch ……this portable media player was introduced in 2005 and is inspired from IPhone.

IPhone
Steve jobs, who is CEO of apple Inc. revealed iPhone at macworld expo in Jan 2007. It was highly
anticipated phone and became instant hit as people always expect different things from apple. This is
smart phone which is internet enabled.

Steve jobs also announced that 3g enabled iPhone will be available for sale in 2008. The lasted version of
IPhone is iphone4 and it is regarded among market leaders and is respected as a prestigious phone.

Apple TV

Apple TV as introduced in 2007 at macworld expo by apple CEO Steve jobs. It’s a device that links users high
definition TV to iTunes through Wi-Fi are other internet connection and enables user to download stuff and buy from I
tunes.

Software
Apple also deve3lops its own operating systems for its devices namely mac os. It also develops its own
software’s to run on mac os. The most popular software bundle of apple is ilife which includes idvd,
imoovie, iphoto, and Iweb.

Culture
Apple now is one of the highly successful companies and it was founded in 1970s. The main reason
behind its success is its high corporate values. It was among the very few organizations at that time that
recognized the organizational culture values and hierarchy like structure that included tall vs. flat
structure. The other firms that are as successful then were also founded in the same era s apple and
Microsoft and southwest airlines. The company faced fierce competition in its earlier years as its main
competitors were companies like IBM. But apple survived that competition due to the influence of its
highly talented founders like Steve jobs who used to walk around office barefoot even after the apple was
a fortune 500 company. This was due to this corporate culture and values that apple distinguished itself
form other rival firms.

Apple Inc. has experienced many different ceos along its life and all of them had different attitude and
vision towards what apple should be ass this natural because everybody wants to be successful through
his own idea. Many may argue that many founding values of apple Inc. has been lost on which it was
founded but the values thee are still incorporated in its culture today are to employ the best possible
tiled]not and be different from its rivals through breakthrough technology and killing products. And that is
the way that has led apple to be a successful company. To recognize and encourage best talent apple
introduced apple fellowship program. this program was designed to award the individuals that made
extraordinary contribution toward personal computing while they were working at apple.

The role of Steve job behind company’s success has been critical. Many employees of the apple has
stated that project in which Steve job is not involved take longer to finish then those in which he is
involved. This says a lot about the role that jobs has played at apple and I really look award and dream of
working under such a talented manager.

employees, reiterating his and the company’s support for those affected by the recent earthquake and
Tsunami in Japan.

Apple Inc. enjoys market at all over the world and it includes all age groups as apple has made brand
fancininization and it has made loyal customers through breakthrough technology and killing products.
The vision that apple fallowed from its founding years was to be different from its competitors and
provide sets customers with best possible products and due to this it has made some strong fan base
and loyal customers. Apple has always led the market with most advanced technology and it is one the
most technologically advanced firm in the worlds and it holds this status ahead of the Microsoft which
used to be technological market leader some years ago but through influential leadership of Steve jobs
apple has gained this status now.

As apple is now most technologically advanced so its products enjoy great customer base among the
customers which are market aware and technologically conscious. It has great market among the youth
no matter the country they are from as its main products are now youth targeted and it’s the youth that
is more technologically conscious and want to have the best available product that is available in the
market. Due to this technological breakthrough apple is able to charge high prices and that’s were the
most of the revenue of apple comes from.

The main products of apple are youth targeted and this included iPod and iPhone. Now when you walk
on street are travel in bus or underground you see that 80% of young people have that apple product. It
is the technology that apple has forces the customers to open their vault as they want to have latest
version when it arrives.

Apple is now one of the most successful companies in the word and this has only been possible due to
the two reasons

Products
The main and very first reason that made the apple company that it is today is its products. Its products
have been always technologically advanced. It is in 21 st century that it introduced some products that
became instant hosts and resulted in huge profits for the apple Inc. that eventually resulted in growth of
the company as it had more to spend on invention.
In 2005 when it introduced iPod that became instant hit and it resulted in huge profits of 320 million in
2005 alone. The brand of apple has also been very well established. The success of these new products
line also resulted in the increased sale of other product like macontach commuters. So the success of
products like iPod and iPhone not only gave apple new product lines from which they could generate
profits but also increased sale revenue from existing product lines like mac pcs. The one other product
that has high contribution toward the sale revenue of apple Inc. is notebooks and sale of these has also
increased in recent times as users of notebooks has been increasing throughout the time.

Brand
In modern times brand name is really important. Companies have been spending tons of money on the
establishment of brand names through marketing and have been successful to do so. The companies
that have established good brand names have been able to generate premium prophets through the
utilization of their brand names.

Apple is among the most established brands in the world and is highly prestigious brand as far as it
industry is concerns. Whenever you ask any user of it about apple a smile will appear on their face.
Apple has not established this brand name through massive marketing campaigns but has developed
through some great products and customer services. This is due to its products that apple has generated
many loyal customers that always spread good word of mouth about apple and are a great source of
free publicity for apple this means that apple not only gets new customers but is also able to retain
existing ones and is able to generate more revenue from them by selling new versions of the products to
them and also by selling new line of products to them as apple has recently developed many new
product line one other in iPhone

What will I gain while working for apple?

Working for apple is like a dream job for any student which wants to be innovative and learn a lot of
skills. It will be a great opportunity for me to work close or the leader like Steve jobs and I hope that I
will be able to learn a lot of things from him.

History of the qualification

There is a lot of demand for innovative individual in the Market now a days but unfortunate there are
not that many individuals available in the market with right set of skills. So there is high demand for such
and individuals that have right qualification. That’s why BITE started this ba innovative management
program. There is high level of competition now days in the market and if the company wants to
succeed then they must have some sort of competitive advantage over their rivals. In the current times
it is very difficult to obtain cost advantage so companies now look to obtain comparative advantage. To
obtain the comparative advantage one has to be innovative and that is what my qualification teaches
me.

Renewal is improvement in the basic and real meaning of the term innovation. When there will be this
innovation (renewal or improvement) there will be something new formed as a consequence. There is
one basic requirement of innovation; if something new is going to happen then people will have to give
up their old ways. They will have to be innovative and thing about new things. They will have to alter the
ways they are used to do things. Schumpeter c.s. (~1930) states that "innovation changes the values
onto which the system is based". When people change their value system, the old (economic) system
will change to make room for the better one. When that happens innovation has occurred. Innovation
can be seen as something that does, not something that is.

How my qualification is relevant to the Apple Inc.

My qualification is relevant to apple in many ways... as it is said before that There iws high level of
competition now a days in the market and if the company wants to succeed then they must have some
sort of competitive advantage over their rivals. In the current times it is very difficult to obtain cost
advantage so companies now look to obtain comparative advantage. To obtain the comparative
advantage one has to be innovative and that is what my qualification teaches me. If we look closely that
is what apple has been doing till now as they don’t have cost advantage. Normally their products have
high prices as compared to their rivals but they have comparative advantage. Customer chooses to buy
their products and pay higher prices because their products are more advanced than their rivals.

List of skills that I can demonstrate while working at Apple Inc.

 1. Communication – communication is one of the very basic skills that one will learn while studying
at Bite ba innovative business management. Communication is one skill that is very important
with regard to any company in the world no matter what the job is. Communication is
particularly important while in is working at Apple Inc. as would have to communicate
effectively with other team members if you want to achieve the maximum out of you.

2. Teamwork –this skill is also one of the major skills that are required to work at an organization
such as apple. Because you work as a team and it is really important for one to be a team player.
This will help both individual and organization in achieving their respective objectives.

3. Leadership – I think leadership is the one skill that I will learn while working at apple Inc. as it
has one of the most influential leader in the world in the shape of Steve jobs and I will try my
level best to learn as much I can from him while working at apple Inc.

4. Problem solving – this is also one skill that I can demonstrate and this will always help me while
working at apple Inc. as problems are bound to come your way no matter what the employment
is.

5. Flexibility/adaptability – this is another skill that I can demsotrate. And will help me a lot while
working for organizations like apple Inc.

6. Commitment/motivation – to be energetic and enthusiastic is one of the key factors that

employers look into employee. So Apple Inc. will greatly benefit from my skill that I will achieve
as a result of studying BA innovative management from bite.

7. Interpersonal skills – this is the skill you have to be good at no matter what the employment is

8. IT knowledge – you have to be it literate to work for company like apple Inc. and that’s what I
am.

How I will be ideal employee

I think that I have right sort of skills that are required for an employment at apple and also I am very
eager to work for apple. I am willing to learn and work under great leader like Steve jobs. So that’s why I
think I will be an ideal employee for apple Inc. and also it will benefit both me and apple Inc. in the long
term.
