The question of “The Question of helping countries affected by earthquakes”

The General Assembly,

Aware of the threats formulated by earthquakes, endangering people and animals,

Taking into account of the vast majority of people killed and harmed in earthquakes affecting the
economies and communities in the countries,

Noting with regret for not being able to be prepared enough to protect our people,

Recalling the fact that 60,000 people die from earthquakes yearly,

Reaffirms the reality that 55 earthquakes occur circadian and 20,000 earthquakes occur a year,

Stresses the fact that developing countries suffer from earthquake damage more than developed
countries,

Convinced that this is a critical dilemma that has been omitted for decades,

Requests that all nations work together to contribute and put the resolution to action,

1. Considers unearthing new materials for the construction of stronger buildings /to
withstand the impact of earthquakes;

a. Sheer walls and cross braces to transfer movement away from the foundation,

b. Horizontal frames to distribute forces to columns and walls,

c. Moment-Resisting frames to keep joints rigid while allowing the structure to bend,

d. Memory Alloy for flexibility and shape retention,

e. Buildings constructed on top of flexible pads that isolate the foundation from the ground,
2. Calls upon donor nations to donate a starting sum of $1,000,000,000 USD to aid in the
construction of the buildings and supplies to aid the injured;

3. Expresses hope that as a team we can all help to reduce the amount of damage caused
by unpreparation for earth earthquakes;

4. Trusts that if this project is successful, it can improve the current living conditions of
those who were left homeless after the earthquake and assist the injured;

a. Assists with purchasing necessities such as: food and water,

b. Provides assistance for those who lost their homes by giving the good shelter
recommendations a sufficient funding to help with living conditions,

c. Furthermore donating: clothes, blankets, and school supplies and books for the education
of the young to help them regain a more normal lifestyle,

d. Presents job opportunities for families in need of income

e. Lastly usings volunteers helps people with rebuilding minimal damage in houses
affected by the earthquakes

5. Undeniably positive that this resolution will be of service to Japan’s infrastructure by;

a. Averting more damage to homes and buildings,

b. Ensuring the welfare of the citizens and tourists,

c. Creating a sense of protection,

d. Ultimately preventing additional trepidation for citizens,

6. Further requests any and all donations made in favor of this resolution;

7. Welcomes any further ideas and/or amendments.
